<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to the magnetic recording of electrical signals and relates in particular to power amplifiers for tape recorders constructed as an integrated circuit.
With the greatest benefit, the amplifier according to the invention can be used for the production of integrated circuits which are used in low-frequency power amplifiers, quenching and
Bias current generators, amplifiers for stereophonic tapes and others
Assemblies of the Hi-Fi magnetic recording devices are used.
Operational amplifiers of low and medium power, which are developed and manufactured by several foreign companies, are often used as the basis for manufacturing the functional components of these devices. The amplifiers mentioned contain an input, an intermediate and a two-stroke output amplifier stage with overload protection transistors and a bias voltage source, the input stage being operated with a differential amplifier circuit
Transistors of npn or. npn-type and is equipped with dynamic loading and a current source in the emitter circuit, and the intermediate stage is equipped with transistors with dynamic loading and bias transistors of the output stage.
Known power amplifiers constructed as an integrated circuit have relatively low frequency properties (gain factor of approximately 20 to 30 dB at a frequency of
20 kHz) and have a small maximum power range (10 to 30 kHz). The maximum power range is the frequency range in which the full amplifier output power is available.
This makes their area of application, for example, as extinguishing and bias current generators in hi-fi tape recorders, in which a frequency of the generated signal of over
100 kHz with a minimum harmonic content of at most 0.1 to 0.3% is required, is considerably restricted.
In addition, the known amplifier in the manufacture of integrated circuits does not ensure a high reproducibility of the electrical parameters during their series production, as a result of which the number of usable products produced is reduced.
The object of the invention is to develop such a power amplifier for tape recorders which is constructed as an integrated circuit and in which it is possible to increase its working speed and the reproducibility of the electrical parameters during their series production by means of a new circuit design.
The object is achieved in that in a power amplifier for tape recorders constructed as an integrated circuit, containing a pnp-type transistor operated in a differential amplifier circuit and a dynamic load formed by npn-type transistors and a current source in the emitter circuit of the transistors of the differential amplifier circuit, an input stage equipped with two transistors of the npn type connected to a Darlington circuit with a dynamic load as well as with bias transistors in the collector circuit of the second transistor, and an output stage designed as a push-pull circuit, the upper branch of which by two to a pair of transistors connected to a Darlington circuit is formed,
According to the invention, each branch of the differential amplifier circuit of the input stage is equipped with two composite transistors of the pnp type connected to a Darlington circuit and is designed with a dynamic loading of an emitter follower formed by transistors of the pnp type, the transistors operated in the collector circuit having a vertical structure, and those in Transistors operated by an emitter circuit have a lateral structure, and a resistor is additionally connected in parallel to the input of the lower branch of the output stage.
Such a structural design of the amplifier according to the invention makes it possible to ensure better frequency properties of the input stage by reducing the output resistance of the components belonging to this stage, which is operated in a collector circuit. In addition, by using the circuit design according to the invention, it becomes possible to reduce the bias voltage by substantially reducing the influence of the scattering of the input currents in the differential amplifier circuit part working in the emitter circuit and to limit the temperature-dependent range of variation of the input currents because the current supplied by the current source significantly exceeds the input current .
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The high input resistance of the input stage is retained. By that
Input of the lower branch of the two-stroke output stage, a resistor is connected in parallel, there is a substantial reduction in the cross current of the output stage while maintaining an acceptable level
Stability. This resistance thus contributes to the faster switching off of the input transistor of the output stage. All of this leads to the expansion of the high-performance range - the high-performance range has a width of over 100 kHz - and makes it possible to achieve good reproducibility of the parameters and a higher number of manufactured usable products in series production.
Furthermore, the essence of the invention is explained on the basis of the detailed description thereof with reference to the drawing, in which the power amplifier according to the invention, constructed as an integrated circuit, is shown.
The amplifier contains an input, an intermediate and an output stage, correspondingly - 1, 2, 3-- and a voltage source-4-- (one embodiment is shown in the drawing). The input stage is implemented in a differential amplifier circuit, with each branch according to the invention using pnp transistor pairs connected to form a Darlington circuit, corresponding to --5, 6 and 7, 8-- and also using transistors --9, 10-- of the npn type formed dynamic load is formed. The transistors --5, 7-- have a vertical structure and the transistors --6, 8-- have a lateral structure. The current sources equipped with transistors --11, 12 and 13-- (of the pnp type) ensure the direct current operation of the transistors of the differential amplifier circuit.
The intermediate stage --2-- is equipped with npn transistors --14 and 15--, which are connected to a Darlington circuit, and is provided with a dynamic load formed by a transistor --16-- of the npn type . At transistors --14 and 15-- are transistors-17-- (of the pnp type), - 18 and 19-- (of the npn type), bias circuits of the output stage that are different from that with the transistor --20 - powered by the pnp-type power source, and a diode --21-- connected. A protective transistor - 22-- is connected to the input of the intermediate stage --2--.
The output stage --3-- is designed as a push-pull circuit, the upper branch of which through the transistors --23 and 24-- of the npn type connected to a Darlington circuit, and the lower branch through the transistors --25-- ( of the pnp type), --26 and 27-- (of the npn type), which form a compound transistor of the pnp type.
Parallel to the inputs of the upper branch, the collector-emitter path of the protective transistor --28-- is of the npn type and the inputs of the lower branch are those of the transistor --29-- of the npn type and the resistor
