Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung, die dazu dient, in den Zylinder von   Lnftkompressoren   od. dgl. selbsttätig Wasser einzuspritzen und dadurch die Kolben- laufbahn in solchem Masse anzufeuchten, dass eine Beschädigung der inneren Zylinder- wandungen und der Kolbenliderungen verhütet wird. Nach der Erfindung ist in dem Ab-   laufrolire   des mit dem Zylinder verbundenen Kühlmantels eine mit Frischdampf gespeiste, in den Zylinderraum mündende Rohrleitung angeordnet, aus der das sich niederschlagende
Wasser in Tropfenform in das Zylinderinnere libertritt, ohne dass der Innenraum des Kühl- mantels mit dem Innern des Zylinders in Verbindung kommt.

   Da die Einspritzung des zum Feuchthalte der Kolbenlaufbahn nötigen Wassers selbsttätig erfolgt, wird sie von der
Aufmerksamkeit des Maschinisten unabhängig gemacht. 



   Die Zeichnung zeigt eine Ausführungsform der Einspritzvorrichtung, die so ein- gerichtet ist, dass sie beim Anlassen der Maschine sofort in Tätigkeit tritt. 



   In dem zu einem Gehäuse 3 erweiterten Ende des mit dem Innenraume des Kühl- mantels 4 verbundenen Ablaufrohres 7 liegt eine Schlange   2,   die einerseits durch ein
Rohr 1 mit der Frischdampfleitung der Antriebsmaschine des Kompressors, andererseits durch ein Rohr 5 mit dem Innenraum 6 des Kompressorzylinders in Verbindung steht. Der durch das Rohr 1 in die Schlange 2 eintretende Frischdampf wird beim Durchströmen der
Rohrschlange verflüssigt und tritt durch das Rohr 5 ununterbrochen in Tropfenform in den
Innenraum 6 des Zylinders über, wodurch eine stetige Anfeuchtung der Kolbenlaufbahn im   Zylinder gesichert wird. 



  Die beschriebene Vorrichtung ist für Luftkompressoren jeder Art und'ähnliche  
Maschinen geeignet und besonders vorteilhaft für die zum Ausstossen von Torpedos dienenden
Kompressoren verwendbar.
