The invention relates to hose clamps which consist of a metal band bent into a ring shape with overlapping end parts, of which the radially outer outside has transverse thread grooves into which the thread of a headed one is provided
Screw engages, which is rotatable in a sleeve with a longitudinally curved bottom, but is not axially displaceable, which sleeve partly the screw, partly the radially inner one, on the bottom of the
Sleeves attachable band end part and forms a space that enables the displacement of the outer band end part between the inner band end part and the screw by their rotation.
With large ties using such hose clamps, the problem arises that due to the fact that on the one hand a maximum radius for the release of the screw head and for other structural details, the curved bottom of the sleeve must not be exceeded, and on the other hand this maximum radius is significantly smaller than the setting radius, a gap remains between the curved sleeve base and the hose, whereby the. perfect sealing of the hose is no longer guaranteed.
If the sleeves tend to stretch when the torque is high, the gap in the area under the sleeve is reduced, but the exact engagement between the threaded end of the strap and the screw is lost.
The aim of the invention is to provide a hose clamp in which the shortcomings indicated are avoided. This goal is achieved with a hose clamp of the type mentioned in the introduction, in which, according to the invention, a bead which tapers from the transverse center of the sleeve towards its two ends is provided on the outside of the sleeve base along its longitudinal edges.
The proposed solution enables the bottom of the sleeve to be adapted to the respectively required setting radius without exceeding the maximum permissible design radius, which enables a tight and thus perfect setting.
In addition, the sleeve is significantly reinforced against unwanted stretching.
According to a further feature of the invention, the sleeve base is in the end regions of the
Flattened sleeve. By reducing the step due to the material thickness of the sleeve to a minimum by chamfering, an additional improvement in the setting is achieved.
Finally, according to the invention, the beads and / or the flats of the sleeve can have a curvature whose radius is greater than the radius of the curvature of the sleeve base.
In this way, an even better adaptation of the hose clamp to the setting radius in the area of the sleeve is achieved.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawings. Fig. 1 shows the hose clamp in section and Fig. 2 shows a cross section through a sleeve designed according to the invention.
The hose clamp consists of a sleeve with a metal band --2-- and a screw --4-- with a head --3--. The band --2-- is bent into a ring shape. Its radially inner end part --5-- is attached to the bottom --6-- of the sleeve --1--, and its radially outer end part --7- is provided with transverse thread grooves --8-- on the outside, in which engages the thread --9-- the screw --4-. On the outer longitudinal edges of the curved sleeve base --6--, beads --10-- are provided, which taper from the transverse center of the sleeve-l-toward both ends and thus compensate for the curvature of the sleeve base.
In the two end regions --11, 12-- of the sleeve --1--, the base --6-- is flattened, which eliminates the step resulting from the material thickness.
