    Elektrischer Induktionsofen.

    Electric induction furnace.

The present invention relates to induction furnaces and consists in arranging the secondary conductor (melting chamber) in a spiral shape, which means that the conductor has a relatively small cross-section and a large length, and thus has a high resistance.

According to the present invention, the melting chamber is designed in the form of two or more channels surrounding the iron core in a spiral shape, the ends of which are connected by a conductor made of solid or liquid material.

An embodiment of the invention is illustrated as an example in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing. Here a are the outer walls of the furnace and b is a spiral-like wall built in between them; c is a conductor which connects the ends of the spiral-shaped melting space thus formed. The conductor c, which acts as a kind of double electrode, extends in the arrangement shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 from above into the melting chamber; However, it can of course also be arranged in another way and possibly form part of the melt, in which case a part of the spiral channel forms a bridge d over the BEZW. the lowered crossing parts e of the melting space can form (Fig. 3).

With this arrangement, the resistance of the charge is increased, at the same time the transformation ratio of the transformer is more advantageous and other advantages, e.g. B. copper savings can be achieved.
