Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a mobile, self-standing poster carrier with carrier plates on which the
Posters or the like can be glued on, the carrier plates being held on a frame having at least three legs.

Such poster carriers are used in particular for events such as sporting events or political elections and the like. Like. Needed in large numbers.

They usually consist of three vertical support plates that form a triangle in plan and are connected to one another at the adjacent edges. However, such structures have several disadvantages.

Since the carrier plates are, so to speak, self-supporting, they have to be generously dimensioned in order to be able to withstand the forces that arise in stronger winds. On the other hand, however, these
Carrier plates quickly become unsightly due to the frequent sticking of posters and the weather and must be replaced. This naturally results in relatively high costs.

It is also known to build the poster carrier in such a way that one carrier plate each on one
Frame is screwed on and that the frames are then connected to one another at the edges.

This enables the interchangeability of relatively cheap carrier plates, but through the
This advantage is compensated for by increasing the number of individual parts required and by the time-consuming installation and replacement.

A particular problem with these reusable poster carriers is the frequent storage between events.

The invention has therefore set itself the task, taking into account the above
Problems of creating a poster carrier that can be stored and transported in a space-saving manner and that can be set up quickly and easily. The carrier plates should also be easily exchangeable.

According to the invention it is proposed for this purpose that the frame consists of an upper and a lower, one-piece frame which grasp the carrier plates at their upper and lower edge regions, and that the frames are releasably attached to the legs by means of receptacles.

With such a design, the poster carrier can be made from a lower frame and an upper frame, into the receptacles of which the continuous legs, designed for example as tubular profiles, are inserted. The carrier plates do not have to have any particular stability. The entire poster carrier consists only of rods and flat elements that can be easily and space-savingly stored and can be set up with little effort. Thanks to the frame that can be fixed on the legs, it can also be set on carrier plates of different heights.

It is particularly advantageous if the frames are interrupted at a distance on one of the sides assigned to the carrier plates so that the poster carrier can be set up around a tree or a light pole, for example.

The frame is preferably made from a U-profile, the legs of which encompass the edges of the carrier plates.

The further details of the invention of an exemplary embodiment are described in more detail below with reference to the drawing.

The drawing shows a poster carrier with three legs and support plates.

The two frames - 1 and 1 '- are made of a U-profile and interrupted at one of their sides at a distance. The free ends are stiffened by additional bars --2--. At the corner points of the frames --1 and 1 '- pipe sections are welded as receptacles --3--. To set up the poster carrier, the mirror-inverted frames --1, 1 '- tubular legs --4-- are pushed into the receptacles --3--. The upper frame - 1 '- can then be raised and temporarily fixed.

If desired, the poster carrier can now be pushed with the interrupted side of the frames --1, 1 '- against a mast so that it is located inside the poster carrier.

The carrier plates --5-- are then inserted and held in place by pushing the two frames --1, 1 '- together, which are themselves fixed again by means of the locking screws --6-- which radially penetrate the receptacles.

It is easy to see that only little time is required for this process, and that inexpensive storage is also ensured due to the small number of individual parts and the small amount of space required. Many embodiments are also conceivable within the scope of the invention, for example a poster carrier with four or more carrier plates.
