Badewanne.
Um eine gegen Undichtwerden möglichst gesicherte Badewanne aus Holz zu erhalten, wird deren Seitenwand der Erfindung gemäss aus einer einzigen, entsprechend gebogenen Platte hergestellt, so dass nur eine einzige Stossfuge entsteht, welche leicht abgedichtet werden kann. Die Verbindung der Seitenwand mit dem Boden erfolgt neuartigerweise durch einen den Unterrand der Wanne umgreifenden Wulst, welcher die Wannenwand gegen Auseinandersprengen zu sichern und gleichzeitig als freies Auflager für die Wanne zu dienen hat, so dass letztere ständig ausser Berührung mit dem meist nassen Fussboden und daher vor Fäulnis bewahrt bleibt.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht den Erfindungsgegenstand in Fig. 1 im Längsschnitt und in Fig. 2 im Grundriss.
Die Seitenwand a der Wanne besteht aus einem einzigen Stück Holz, welches nach vorangegangenen Dämpfung entsprechend gebogen wurde, bis die Enden zur Berührung gelangt sind.
Die auf diese Weise entstehende einzige Stossfuge wird sodann in geeigneter Weise abgedichtet.
Die Verbindung der Waunenwand a mit dem Boden b erfolgt durch einen den unteren Rand der Wanne umgreifenden Wulst c, welcher die Seitenwand gegen Auseinandersprengen sichert und der Wanne gleichzeitig als freies Auflager dient, so dass letztere mit der etwa vorhandenen Nässe des Fussbodens nicht in Berührung kommen kann und daher auch nicht der zerstörenden Wirkung der Fäulnis ausgesetzt ist.

Bathtub.
In order to obtain a wooden bathtub that is as protected as possible against leaking, the side wall of the invention is made from a single, appropriately curved plate, so that only a single butt joint is created which can easily be sealed. The connection of the side wall to the floor is carried out in a novel way by a bead encompassing the lower edge of the tub, which has to secure the tub wall against bursting and at the same time serve as a free support for the tub, so that the latter is constantly out of contact with the mostly wet floor and therefore is preserved from rot.
The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention in FIG. 1 in longitudinal section and in FIG. 2 in plan.
The side wall a of the tub consists of a single piece of wood, which has been bent accordingly after previous damping until the ends have come into contact.
The only butt joint created in this way is then sealed in a suitable manner.
The connection of the wall a with the floor b is made by a bead c encompassing the lower edge of the tub, which secures the side wall against bursting apart and at the same time serves as a free support for the tub so that the latter does not come into contact with any moisture in the floor can and is therefore not exposed to the destructive effects of rot.
