The effect of a variable alternating current passed through the winding of the embodiments described is that the time average value of the leakage flux passing through the scattering path is reduced to different degrees and, as a result, the time average value of the useful flux of force lines cut by the conductors of the armature is also increased to different degrees corresponding to the machine's force .

In the application example shown schematically in Fig. 4, two alternating

If the winding of its scattering path h is in the outgoing main line: switched on and, in order to support a more even operation of both machines, two points each have the same potential and therefore correspond to one another in the windings of the two scattering paths by a compensating wire m shown in dashed lines connected with each other.

In the application example shown in FIG. 5, three parallel-connected three-phase machines n operate on a common network s, the field excitation of which is provided by three direct-current machines o (for which the armature q is usually shown in two parts in the figure for greater clarity) , takes place, which are all provided with a magnetic scattering path r between the poles of their field magnets. A shunt <is branched off from two lines of the main power network, which is used to excite the
Windings of the scatter tracks are used, u. between the windings of the three scatter tracks are all connected one behind the other in this shunt.

If necessary, however, the variant shown in dotted lines can be used instead of this device, in which

converters must be used when direct current machines according to the present invention are regulated by an alternating current obtained from a branch or part of the direct current generated by the machine. Of course, if the current strength generated by the machine is not suitable for exciting the scatter tracks, suitable voltage transformers can be switched into the feed line of the scatter tracks in all of the above-mentioned cases.

The subject matter of the invention is shown in the examples on two-pole machines, but can of course also be used on multi-pole machines.
