Apparatus for producing rhythmic movements of the abdominal wall.

The present invention relates. an apparatus with the help of which it is possible to produce more or less rapidly successive, rhythmic movements of the abdominal wall at certain points. In this way, a fundamental change is to be made in the improvement of artificial exhalation, the latter already being the previous “At. They all start at the bony chest and, in spite of the great resistance which the bony constituents (ribs and spine) oppose to any change in shape, try to expel air from it by compressing the chest.

The present apparatus does this, however, in imitation of the mechanism which physiologically comes into action with increased exhalation in humans, in that it drives the diaphragm, which is completely flaccid during exhalation, into the chest and thus easily displaces a lot of air from it by pressing the soft abdominal wall the abdominal viscera are pressed against the surface of the diaphragm. However, it is not possible to use one of the breathing chairs that have hitherto been in use instead of the chest on the abdomen, because the aim would not be achieved.

Therefore, a pressure element had to be created that had large central movements

The outer end of this spring is attached to the ring, the inner end. which to a muldcn-
