Namentlich haben die aus Hartgesteinsabfällen, wie Basalt oder Granit, hergestellten Ziegel noch den Vorteil, dass sie wegen ihres geringen Tonzusatzes bei der Herstellung ein als den Natursteinen vollständig gleichwertiges nicht untorscheidbares Gefuge darstellen und sich vor allen Dingen wie diese polieren lassen, wodurch es möglich ist, billige. polierte Fassadenziegel herzustellen.
