To avoid this inconvenience, either the iron core is subdivided, i. H. made of lamellas or wires, or a special way provided for the discharge of the extra currents, in which capacitors are switched on.

Two embodiments of this latter device are illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 4 of the drawing. L L is the Telegraphenleituug and M illustrates the electromagnet, which is equipped in the manner shown in Fig. 1 with a short-circuited winding s or whose self-induction is increased by connecting self-induction coils I, I (Fig. 4). In Fig. 3, a capacitor C is arranged in the shunt to the electromagnet M, while in Fig. 4 the line L is grounded before and after the electromagnet M or the self-induction coils I, I with the interposition of a capacitor C through the lines F.

It is also advantageous to lay the earth plates of the telegraphone line as far as possible from the rails and as deeply as possible into the earth, carefully isolating the lines which are laid in the earth and lead to the earth plate. This measure alone can also reduce the interference.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Device for the prevention of disturbances in tolograph lines by AC railway line, characterized in that the effect of the alternating current entering the telegraph apparatus is canceled by short-circuited winding attached to the electromagnet of the telegraph apparatus or by the fact that the
Electromagnet of the telegraph apparatus is doubled or multiplied and the P windings of these electromagnets are connected in parallel, with all poles of the
Electromagnets act simultaneously on the armature or part of the electromagnet cores is short-circuited.
