Der Wähler ler mués zu gleichem Zwecke vier Schritte machen, von denen drei einen nutzlosen Verbrauch an Kraft und Zeit darstellen.
Ein weiterer wesentlicher Vorteil der neuen Anordnung besteht, wie schon kurz erwähnt, darin, dass in der Benützung der Leitungen 1- 4 durch die verschiedenen Gruppen- wähler I-IV ein viel häufigerer Wechsel eintritt als bei dem bisherigen System, bei welchem in erster Linie die Leitungen 1 in Betrieb kamen, also stets in Benutzung standen, während die Leitungen 2 seltener und die an den letzten Kontakten der Kontaktbahnen angeschlossenen Leitungen am wenigsten in Benützung genommen wurden. Entsprechend ungleichmässig war die Benützung der durch die Leitungen 1-4 usw. einzuschaltenden weiteren Verbindungsorgane und Schaltapparate, deren Lebensdauer daher höchst ungleich war.
Durch die vorliegende Erfindung ist diese Ungleichheit zum wesentlichen Teil beseitigt und so ein ökonomische Verwendung der Betriebsmittel erzielt.
Dns Ausführungsbeispiel bezieht sich auf eine Gruppe von nur vier Wahlschultern, es ist jedoch ohne Weiteres klar, dass die Anzahl der Schalter für die Wirkungsweise der Erfindung ohne Belang ist und beliebig viele Gruppenwähler mit beliebig vielen Kontakten nach der neuen Anordnung miteinander verbunden werden können. (Die Kontaktbahnen e sind in gleicher Art mit den den Leitungen 1-4 zugeordneten, nicht gezeichneten Prüf- und Sperrleitungen verbunden zu denken. ) Die Erfindung ist ferner nicht auf die Ein- haltung der gleichen zyklischen Reihenfolge 1 -2-3-4-1-2-3 - 4-1-2 usw.
