The invention relates to a method for the production of flowable self-solidifying mixtures, preferably for the production of casting cores and molds. In the foundry industry, a process for the production of self-solidifying masses is known, which as a filler, for example, quartz sand, as a binder, water glass, the
Additives that ensure solidification of the mass, for example dipicalcium silicate, water and as foaming agents. contain, for example, sulfonic acids (French patent specification no. 1,342,529).
The flowable masses produced by this process ensure, however, despite great technological advantages (easy filling of the core boxes with liquid mass that is not compacted and that of the
Air automatically solidifies, and the use of cheap hardeners) the cores are not knocked out of the castings easily enough, which is particularly characteristic of castings with a complex shape.
In addition, the proposed solidified mass has a compressive strength of 1.5 to after 1 hour
3 kg / cm. which is not always sufficient when storing, transporting and assembling the cores. In a number of cases, when making cores with complex shapes and protruding parts, the latter are chipped from the core during subsequent assembly.
In addition, it should not be forgotten that the mixtures produced by the known process are characterized by a long solidification time (40 to 50 min), which causes delays in the casting process and makes it impossible to use these mixtures in mass production.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages listed. Further goals can be seen from the description.
The invention is based on the object of creating a flowable and self-solidifying mixture which has a high strength after its solidification and an increased solidification rate and which can easily be knocked out of the castings.
This task is achieved by a flowable and self-solidifying mixture, preferably for the production of foundry cores and molds, which as a filler, in particular quartz sand, as a binding agent, waterglass

Contains abietic acid or one of its salts in the form of abietic resin.
According to the invention, the mixture contains 0.1 to 0.5 parts by weight of abietin resin added. The resin can do the

In this case, dry components such as quartz sand, dicalcium silicate in the form of powdery slag that occurs during ferrochrome production and abietin resin powder are mixed in a mortar mixer at 30 to 50 rev / min in the course of 1 to 2 minutes. Then the liquid components such as binding agents (water glass), foaming agents of the anion class in the form of alkylaryl sulfate and water, which are mixed in a special container, are fed into the mortar mixer, after which the mass is additionally added in the course of 2 to 3 min. H. until it becomes runny (foam-forming) is mixed.
