Control for hydraulic presses with low and high pressure accumulator.
The subject of the invention is a control for hydraulic presses which are connected to a low and high pressure accumulator, of which the former controls the working cycle of the plunger until it hits the workpiece and the latter the remaining part of the working cycle during which the workpiece is machined , worried to adapt the pressure used up exactly to the respective working conditions.
The control according to the present invention is now set up in such a way that when the plunger hits the workpiece, the low-pressure accumulator is automatically switched off and the high-pressure accumulator is switched on at the same time.
The decrease in the pressure piston can be achieved by hydraulic pistons counteracting the work cycle, the cylinders of which are constantly connected to the low-pressure accumulator

The drawing shows a hydraulic forging press which is equipped with a control system according to the present invention.
EMI1.2
Knell hydraulic pistons are provided, the cylinders b, c of which are continuously connected by a pipe (to an air tank e in which a pressure of, for example, 2-40 atm. is present.
This pressure is generated by forcing in water by means of a pump which, when the pressure of 10 atm. Is reached, is released by lifting its suction valve and goes empty.
If the press is now to be used as a forging press, for example,

goes, which lifts a rising piston n through the press tube l in the valve block m, which opens the regulating valve o by means of leverage.
Far earlier, however, when the control lever g was turned over, the inlet valve p for high-pressure water was also opened by the same. so now the water flows out

The piston n is pulled down by its spiral spring and closes the regulating valve o through the lever transmission.
The pump r starts when the weight accumulator sinks and lifts it up again, whereupon the game of the press can begin again.
