Fig. 1 einen Zylinder mit Kühlmantel im Längsschnitte,
Fig. 3 und 4 zwei weitere Ausführungsformen im Längsschnitte.

Cooling jacket for water-cooled explosion engines.
The already known tubing jackets provided with devices for recooling the cooling water suffer from the disadvantage that they do not allow the cooling tubes to be cleaned or that at least when this cleaning is carried out, the removal of the cooling bodies from the cooling jacket cannot be avoided.
This disadvantage is eliminated by the invention in that the cooling bodies are arranged on the easily removable cooling jacket in such a way that they are directly accessible after the jacket has been removed and allow easy cleaning.
Furthermore, in order to achieve the highest possible heat emission, the cooling jacket is provided with corrugations traversed by air tubes, so that the heat is dissipated both from the outer surface of the jacket and from the inside thereof.
In the drawing shows:
1 shows a cylinder with a cooling jacket in longitudinal section,
2 shows a second embodiment of the cooling jacket in cross section,
3 and 4 two further embodiments in longitudinal section.
The cooling jacket c surrounding the cylinder a, which is only pushed onto the former and is closed on its open side by a packing h, is provided with several rows of radially branching pipe connections k. These pipe sockets open in groups into a number of longitudinal pipes m. The water heated between the cylinder wall and the cooling jacket wall flows over primarily through the upper pipe sections k into the pipes m, where it cools down and passes back through the lower pipe sockets into the cooling jacket.
The radial arrangement of the heat sinks on the cooling jacket in conjunction with the ease with which the latter can be removed enables all cooling tubes to be cleaned conveniently and easily without having to remove them from the jacket.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment in which the cooling jacket is corrugated and the
EMI1.1
also enables the cooling jacket to be cleaned thoroughly after it has been removed, without the need to remove the air ducts.
A safety valve it (FIG. 3) can be provided to discharge any steam that is formed. With the increase in volume caused by the heating, the excess part of the same passes over into the chamber t.
To maintain the water circulation, in the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the cooling jacket is connected by lines v to a small water container w.
