Ausführungsform ist die aus der Zone-3-und der Zone-5-gebildete Randfläche als Ganzes praktisch eine einfach gekrümmte Fläche. Zur Anpassung an den Schaft kann die Sohle in nicht näher dargestellter Weise eine Ausnehmung aufweisen.
Bei der in Fig. 2 dargestellten Ausführungsform ist der obere Rand-4-der Randfläche nach innen versetzt. Die Trennungslinie --6-- zwischen der Zone--3-mit glatter Oberfläche und der mit feinrauher Oberfläche versehenen Zone-5-der Randfläche verläuft am Übergang zwischen dem senkrecht zur Lauffläche-l-stehenden Teil der Randfläche und dem nach innen gekrümmten Teil derselben. Dadurch, dass die glatte Zone von der mit einer feinrauhen Oberfläche versehenen Zone der Randfläche weggekrümmt verläuft, wird die Trennung zwischen den beiden Zonen verbessert und der Zusammenbau des Schuhes und dessen Pflege weiter erleichtert.
Zusammen mit einer konkaven Krümmung der oberen Fläche-7-der Sohle bildet der gekrümmte Teil der Randfläche eine Art Lippe, die zum engen Anliegen an den Schaft des Schuhes ausgebildet ist. Die Höhe der glatten Zone - 3-- ist über den ganzen Umfang praktisch gleich und beträgt etwa ein Drittel der Höhe der Randfläche im Bereich der Hauptbiegung der Sohle (Ballenbereich-8--).
Die in Fig. 3 dargestellte Ausführungsform weist eine ungeteilte Lauffläche auf. Zwischen der glatten Zone-3-und der feingerauhten Zone--5-ist eine zur Lauffläche der Sohle etwa parallele Fläche vorgesehen. Dadurch ergibt sich auch eine besonders ausgeprägte zum engen Anliegen an den Schaft des Schuhes vorgesehene Lippe-9--und auch eine vollkommene Trennung zwischen der Zone der Randfläche, die eine glatte Oberfläche aufweist, und jener Zone, die eine feinrauhe Oberfläche besitzt. Die Höhe der mit einer glatten Oberfläche versehenen Zone der Randfläche beträgt im Ballenbereich-8-etwa ein Drittel der Höhe der gesamten Randfläche, also der Zone--S-- und der Lippe --9-- zusammen.

The embodiment shown in Fig. 3 has an undivided running surface. Between the smooth zone - 3 - and the finely roughened zone - 5 - a surface approximately parallel to the running surface of the sole is provided. This also results in a particularly pronounced lip 9 provided for close contact with the upper of the shoe - and also a complete separation between the zone of the edge surface, which has a smooth surface, and that zone, which has a finely rough surface. The height of the zone of the edge area provided with a smooth surface is about a third of the height of the entire edge area in the ball area-8-, i.e. the zone - S-- and the lip --9-- together.
