Elektrischer Schnappschalter
An einigen Ausführungsbeispielen soll der Gegenstand der Erfindung näher erläutert werden. Schraubenfederachse und etwa tangential zur Umhüllenden der Schraubenfeder ;

Electrical snap switch
The invention relates to an electrical snap-action switch with a helical spring which can be actuated slowly.
A construction as a helical spring, the individual turns of which are inclined in the same direction with respect to the helical axis, is known per se and proven in German patent specification No. 126934, but as part of an electrical switch.
The object of the invention is to create an electrical switch for preferably gradual actuation with a simple, low-bounce switching element with a snap-action effect, which ensures good multi-point contact with great shaking resistance, high switching frequency and operational reliability with favorable maintenance times, or can be used to actuate further switching or control elements is.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the helical spring is arranged inclined in the same direction with respect to the helical axis in a known manner, can be coupled to an actuating device that can be used to apply an essentially axial tensile force to the helical spring ends and to assume a flat position in the unloaded state corresponding to the rest position of the switch and is designed to assume a position with turns substantially perpendicular to the screw axis in the actuated state corresponding to the working position of the switch. The actuating device is provided with or without an energy storage device for loading the helical spring with a bias.
At least one switching and / or control member is arranged on the snap-action switch essentially parallel or perpendicular to the envelope of the helical spring in the working position. The geometric shape of the helical surfaces of the helical spring can be adapted to the profile of a contact path or the arrangement of the switching and / or control element on the circumference of the helix.
The invention has a particularly favorable effect on demands for unconditional contact reliability with a very frequent number of operations. As a result of the small structural dimensions without essential mechanics, the application is particularly favorable, for example between conductor tracks for switches on two opposite printed circuit boards. As a switching or control element, the subject matter of the invention is an enrichment for precision engineering components.
The subject matter of the invention is to be explained in more detail using a few exemplary embodiments. FIG. 1 shows an electrical snap-action switch with a helical spring in a flat rest position between two almost parallel contact tracks; FIG. 2 shows the snap switch according to FIG. 1 in a plan view without contact tracks; 3 shows the snap switch according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in the working position as a direct contact element; 4 shows the snap-action switch according to FIG. 3 with contact tracks which are adapted to the cone of the envelope of the standing turns of the helical spring; 5 shows the snap switch according to FIGS. 1 and 2, but with sets of springs almost parallel and in the direction of the helical spring axis; Fig. 6 shows an arrangement of two almost plane-parallel contact tracks in the direction of
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Coil spring axis and approximately tangential to the envelope of the coil spring;
FIG. 7 shows an arrangement like FIG. 6, but with a profile of the two contact tracks that is adapted to the envelope; FIG. 8 shows a trapezoidal or octagonal shape as a cross section of a coil of the helical spring according to FIG. 2; FIG. 9 shows an actuating device with an energy store for the snap switch according to FIG. 10 shows the combination of two snap switches according to FIG. 1 in a V-shaped arrangement and the application of only one tensile force.
In an electrical snap-action switch shown schematically in FIG. 1, a helical spring - in the starting position between two almost parallel contact tracks 2 and 2 '- is arranged in a flat position (FIG. 2) in a non-contacting manner, slightly biased by a force P. The spring is anchored on one side and has an electrical connection --3--. The two contact tracks - 2 and 2 '- have the same or different electrical potential that can be applied to the associated connections - 4 and 4'. The tensile force P acts axially in the free end - 1 '- of the helical spring - l -.
When the helical spring has cracked open, contact points arise between the circumference of the individual spring coil and the closest contact track, as FIG. 3 shows for contact tracks which run almost parallel to one another and FIG. Further modifications with regard to the arrangement and number of contact tracks are possible.
Instead of fixed contact tracks, two sets of contact springs - 5 and 5 '- roughly parallel to the surface line of the upright helical spring - 1 - are arranged in FIG. 5 so that corresponding contact can be made within each set of springs - 5 or 5'. The number of spring sets arranged is variable.
The profile of a spring coil can have a shape deviating from the circular shape, as in FIG. B. is shown as a trapezoidal and octagonal shape. Accordingly, the contact tracks - 2 and 2 '- are at least partially adapted to the envelope of the open spring - 1 - as FIG. 7 shows, one or both of which are curved, while FIG. 6 shows almost plane-parallel contact tracks - 2 and 2' - -shows.
A favorable example of an application of the electrical snap-action switch is shown schematically in FIG. 9. Here, the helical spring-1-is preloaded in the spring tension direction by means of an actuating device with an energy storage device -6-, while the tensile force P acts on point-7-with a lever arm.
EMI2.1
It is advisable to have a tie rod-9 and 9'-articulated, at the intersection of which the common force P acts. Further modifications in the combined arrangement are possible.
The invention has the effect that, as a result of the tensile force P, the spring, which is initially held flat on one side - 1 - is suddenly erected, sliding against one another on its coils (FIG. 3). This snap torque is the result of a permanent torsion imparted to the spring wire in the axial direction. The upright spring movements of the helical spring-1-result in a large number of contacts between the two contact tracks-2 and 2 '. Thus, after initially slowly changing tensile force P, there is an instantaneous electrical contact, the total contact resistance of which is small as a result of the sum of the effective spring movements and thus represents a favorable and reliable electrical connection.
By adapting the profiles of the contact tracks - 2 and 2 '- to the envelope of the open helical spring - 1 - further improvements in the electrical properties can be achieved. The axially acting tensile force P is generated with a drive system, the effect of which can preferably be of thermoactive, electromagnetic and / or mechanical origin and works with or without additional mechanical actuators. When the tensile force P is reduced, the spring turns abruptly back into the starting position and thus a quick disconnection.
In addition to making direct contact, the arrangement according to the invention is also suitable as a switching element for actuating switching and / or control elements, the material of the spring-1-being of no importance. For example, the drive of sets of springs (FIG. 5) or purely mechanical links that are to be switched abruptly is given.
It is also possible to arrange switching and / or control elements at right angles to the spring axis and tangential to a spring coil or to several spring coils acting in groups.
By pretensioning until shortly before the response limit by means of an adjustable elastic energy storage device 6- (Fig. 9), e.g. B. a spring, is the required increase in tensile force until the helix reaches the tipping point. to keep the helical spring 1 and the snap effect that then ensues small with its momentary switching.

This pretensioned helical spring --1-- triggers or creates the same effect by means of small soft iron plates on the coils of the helical spring-l-in a suddenly switchable magnetic field.
