Transport mechanism in a picture viewer housing
The invention relates to a transport mechanism in a picture viewer housing with a transport slide protruding from the housing, which is displaceable parallel to the plane of a display disk rotatably mounted in the housing and which rotates the display disk step by step when it is moved into the housing and is retracted by a return spring held in the housing its rest position is returned.
In the previously known picture viewer housings, the transport slide was held and guided in the required position near the display panel by the rear wall of the housing or by a pin on the rear wall of the housing in order to remain connected to its transport device. As a result, a functional check of the mechanism could not be carried out before the rear wall of the housing was inserted. In addition, the function of the mechanism was heavily dependent on the dimensional accuracy of the rear wall, among other things on the pressure that the rear wall exerted on the transport slide.
For this reason, malfunctions have often occurred. The invention uses the existing spring to give the transport slide the correct guidance regardless of the rear wall. According to the teaching of the invention, the return spring is mounted in such a way that the line of action of the spring force runs obliquely to the plane of the display window and a component of its return force acting on the slide presses the slide against the display window.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings of an exemplary embodiment. 1 shows a mechanism according to the invention from the rear, that is to say with the rear wall of the picture viewer housing removed; FIG. 2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
From the housing 5 protrudes a parallel to a display window 3 guided transport slide 1, which rotates the display disk 3 step by step when shifted into the housing 5 and which is returned to its rest position by means of a return spring 2 held in the housing 5.
According to the exemplary embodiment, the spring 2 is - as is known per se - a spiral spring. This spiral spring 2 is held on both sides of the transport slide 1 by barbs 8 located on the housing 5 or on the peg 4 of the housing, in such a way that its plane forms an angle with the plane of the display panel or the transport slide, so that a partial force of the spring force acts perpendicularly in the direction of the display pane and holds the transport slide in contact with it.
The entire mechanism works completely independently of the rear wall, even when it is not inserted. The spring 2 exerts a force on the transport slide 1 both in the direction of the arrow 6 and in the direction of the arrow 7, so that the deficiencies mentioned at the beginning no longer occur.
