Fig. 18.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Kopieren in vertikaler Richtung auszunutzen.

Automatic sensing device on a copying machine tool
The subject of the invention is an automatic sensing device on a copying machine tool, with a sensing device which is movable on all sides within a stop ring and which is pressed against the model and against the stop ring under the action of a radial pilot force, the direction of the pilot force and thus the direction of advance through a Depending on the tangent of contact between the model and the button, the pilot control unit that automatically adjusts around the ring axis is determined, the pilot control element of which is held in a rotary head rotatably mounted about the ring axis, which tapers a gap between the button and the ring.
In a known automatic sensing device of the type mentioned, the stop ring and the button form the interacting contacts of an electrical switch controlling the pilot control unit. With this arrangement, the pilot control unit oscillates around a central position, the direction of the pilot control force constantly changing, the pilot control unit being unnecessarily stressed and the contact surfaces soon being damaged due to the constant switching due to burning.
The purpose of the invention is to create an automatic sensing device with the help of which two and three-dimensional shapes can be reproduced without having to accept the disadvantages mentioned at the same time.
In the case of the known sensing devices mentioned above, with a button that is movable on all sides within a stop ring, the pilot force is transmitted to the button by a spring which presses the button against the ring and against the model. The position of the button within the ring is determined in various ways, but the devices that determine the position (i.e. the pilot control elements) do not also simultaneously serve to transmit the pilot control force to the button.
The invention is based on the idea of transmitting the pilot control force to the button through the pilot control element itself. Accordingly, the probe device according to the invention is characterized in that the spring causing the pilot control force rests against the pilot control member itself, the pilot control member is designed as a slide measuring the gap width and itself serves to transmit the pilot control force to the button.
In order to adapt such a design of the sensing device to different processing cases, it is essential that the rotary knob with the pilot control element can be repositioned so that the rotation, and thus the pilot control, takes place in one plane of the room, the rotary knob being designed with a toothed ring, which in each repositioning position meshes with an output pinion of the motor.
At. In all variants of the sensing device explained in detail below with regard to the mode of operation, the pilot control element is tracked when the direction of the scanned contour changes and is brought into the neutral position. This means that the pilot control unit remains in the rest position with a straight model contour. The tracking is stepless with a hydraulic pilot control unit.
In the line process, any die shape can be scanned with all variants of the device, with the pilot control also being caused by obstacles occurring in the line switching direction
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Button is influenced. It is therefore impossible that the button can be pressed when approaching the model in the line switching direction.
In general, the device is characterized by low key pressure and the necessary allowance for the probe diameter is also minimal.
In the drawings, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown schematically.
FIG. 1 shows a probe head according to a first embodiment in vertical section, FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows the stop ring with the probe in cross section, FIGS. 4-6 and 7, respectively -9 scanning in opposite feed directions, with projecting or receding contours of the model that are parallel, protruding or receding with respect to the feed direction, FIG. 10 shows a further exemplary embodiment for three-dimensional line copying, FIG. 11 shows a section along the line xni-xni in FIG. 10, FIG. 12 a section along the line XIV-XIV of FIG. 10, FIG. 13 the modified lower part of an embodiment of the sensing device according to FIG. 10, FIG. 14 a section along the line XVI -XVI of FIG. 13, Fig.

Fig. 18.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a button 3, suspended in a pendulum manner in a housing 2 by means of a ball joint 1, is in operative connection with the control slides 4 ′ and 4 ″ accommodated in the housing 2, which in turn serve for the feed cylinders 5 and 6
Control longitudinal and transverse feed. The arrangement is such that the control slide
4 'and 4 "prevent the flow of the pressure fluid conveyed by a pump 7 from a reservoir 8 to the associated feed cylinders when the button 3 with respect to one of the lower
Section of the same surrounding stop ring 9 occupies a central position. Analogously, when the pushbutton is deflected, a feed corresponding to the deflection direction is achieved.
The stop ring 9 is inserted into a bore 12 of a rotary head 13 which surrounds the button 3 and is rotatably mounted in the lower part of the housing 2. The rotary head 13 is equipped on its upper end face with a gear 14 which meshes with a pinion 16 wedged on the shaft of a printing motor 15. That of a pilot pump 17 from a container
The pressurized oil required is supplied to the pressurized oil motor 15 via annular grooves 19 or channels 20 of the rotary head 13 in accordance with a pilot valve 21 housed in the latter. In the flow path of the pressurized oil to the motor 15, a four-way cock serving as a direction switch 22 is arranged.
Under the action of a spring 23, the pilot slide 21 is pressed against the button 3 and this - as can be seen particularly from FIGS. 3-9 - against the model 11 or the stop ring 9. The pilot valve 21 has a neutral position in which the flow of pressurized oil to the engine 15 is blocked. From this position the pilot valve can be moved to both sides by moving the button, the motor being driven in one direction or the other. By means of a locking lever 24 and an adjusting screw 25, the pilot slide can be lifted continuously from the button 3 against the action of the spring 23 in order to be able to move the button easily by hand.
Otherwise, the button 3 is under the effect of. the pre-control force exerted by the spring 23 is pressed against the model 11 and at the same time against the stop ring 9, as can be seen from FIG. The arrangement is such that the pilot slide 21, which is movable in the direction of the pilot force Pv, is in the neutral position when the angle enclosed by the pilot force Pv with the tangent contact between the model and the button is a predetermined value a, whereby- as indicated by the arrow V, - a feed parallel to the tangent contact is controlled. An approximately comma-shaped gap 26 is formed between the button 3 and the stop ring 9, which, measured in the direction of the pilot control force Pv, has the width a.
It goes without saying that the pilot control element actually scans the width of the gap 26 measured in the direction of the pilot control force, with the pilot control element being in the neutral position when the width is just the amount a of the pilot valve is shown in FIG. 4, according to which the button 3 pressed against the stop ring 9 and against the model 11 slides along the contour of the model, which in this case coincides with the contact tangent, in the direction V.
When it encounters a contour section protruding with respect to the feed direction, as indicated for example at 11 'in FIG. 5, the button 3 is pushed back by the stop ring 9,
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the component of the pushbutton movement falling in the direction of the pilot control force Pv causes the pilot control slide 21 to be displaced from the neutral position against the force of the spring 23.
In the direction of the arrow Pl, the flow of the pressure oil from the pilot pump 17 to the motor 15 is released, which in turn causes the rotary head 13 to rotate in the direction of rotation Ul. Corresponding to the rotation of the precontrol element 21, the precontrol force runs in the same way
Sensing around until the pilot angle a, which is now related to the contour 11 ', is reached. With regard to this contour and the stop ring 9, the button 3 or the pilot control element 21 again assumes the position shown in FIG. 4, the width of the gap 26 measured in the direction of the pilot control force having increased again to a and the pilot control element 21 accordingly, the further feeding of the pressure oil motor 15 is prevented.
Conversely, the pilot control element according to FIG. 6 gives the flow rate of the pressure oil in the sense of
Arrow P2 free when the button 3, starting from the situation according to FIG. 4, has to follow a receding contour 11 ″. In this case too, the control movement of the pilot control element is dependent on the component of the button movement falling in the direction of the pilot control force, but takes place they not against but under the action of the spring 23, since the correspondingly measured width of the gap 26 has increased by the amount a.
The rotation of the rotary head 13 now takes place in the opposite sense, i. H. in the direction of rotation U2 until the co-rotating pilot control element 21 and thus the pilot control force assumes the intended angular position relative to the tangent contact, in the present case ultimately relative to the contour 11 ″.
The above can be applied analogously to FIGS. 7-9, with the difference that the pressure oil flow in the direction of the arrow P1 causes the rotary head 13 to rotate in the direction of rotation U2 and the flow in the direction of the arrow P2 causes a rotation in the direction of rotation U1. In order to achieve this, only the direction of rotation switch 22 has to be switched. In both cases, after the button has been placed on the model by hand, the contour of the model is scanned all around if necessary and simulated, the pilot force being automatically readjusted by turning the rotary head 13 and always being effective at the angle ci provided for this . As a result, the feed direction is again set according to the scanned contour and a constant feed is achieved.
The direction of rotation switch 22 in whose two switching positions the bypass of the model is controlled in opposite directions, has a central position in which the input and output of the pressure oil motor 15 are short-circuited and any pressure oil flow to the motor 15 and thus the control of the same by the pilot control element is prevented becomes. With the aid of a hand lever 27 attached to the rotating part 13, the direction of the pilot control force can now be set by hand by rotating the rotating head 13, with the model being scanned all around in both directions under manual control. In addition, the button 3 can be moved by hand with little force when the pilot control element 21 is moved against the action of the spring 23 with the aid of the locking lever 24 and the adjusting screw 25 and thereby brought into an inoperative position.
The embodiment of the scanning device according to FIGS. 10-12 allows scanning or driving around a model in all three levels of the room. In contrast to the embodiments described above, a push button unit with a push button tube 34 is present here, which is mounted in its central region in the housing 2 so that it can oscillate on all sides with the aid of a membrane 35 and can move axially. The weight of the pushbutton unit is balanced by means of tension springs 36 which act at one end on the pushbutton and at the other end on a web 38 which can be locked and locked in the housing 2 by means of screws 37.
The lower end of the feeler tube 34 meets a ring 39 in which the inner ends of two pairs of support pins 40 arranged in a cross with respect to one another are held. With their outer ends, the support pins grip the inner wall of an adjusting ring 43, which surrounds the ring 41 and is rotatably mounted on the sliding piece 42, which is slidably guided in bores of a ring 41 attached to the housing 2. On the inner wall of the adjusting ring 43 there are recesses 44 arranged in pairs diametrically opposite each other, which are arranged so that the radial mobility of the pairs of supporting pins can be prevented individually or simultaneously by rotating the adjusting ring.
According to FIG. 11, the support pins visible above and below can be moved radially, whereas the other two, shown on the right and left in FIG. 11, can be moved. Support pins are blocked.
The button 3 can thus oscillate in the plane given by the first-mentioned support pins, but not in the transverse plane. It is understood that the arrangement described allows the commuting of the

In the plug-in position III of the plug-in part 56 and when the adjusting ring 43 is set to the mark U (rotation), the button 3 'with the feeler tube can swing freely in all directions, as is the case with the embodiment according to FIG. The only difference is that the movement of the button 3 'or. those of the pilot control pin 52 are opposite to each other.
Otherwise, however, the mode of operation of this device with the plug-in part corresponds to that of the variant according to FIG. 1. The model can thus be bypassed and scanned from all sides. Simultaneously with the circular copying it is possible to use the vertical button movements to the
Copy in the vertical direction.
In the device according to FIG. 10, the key is prevented from wedging during line copying (plug-in position I or 11) on an almost vertical wall that is slightly inclined with respect to the feed direction, by the deflection of the key in its mounting in the probe tube initiating the vertical movement.
The same effect can, however, also be achieved with a reduced influence of the stylus length with a modified design, which differs from the variant described last according to FIGS
14 differs in the following:
The button 3 '(see FIG. 13) is rigidly attached in the lower end of the feeler tube 34. The transmission rod 48, equipped with the two pilot pins 50 and 51, is supported under the action of the spring 49 on one arm of four angle levers 67 arranged in the shape of a cross, each of which is pivoted about a pin 68 in a recess of the probe tube 34. On the other arm of each angle lever 67, the inwardly facing end of a support pin 40 engages, which pins again extend into radial bores in the ring 41 and are supported on the adjusting ring 43 via sliding piece 42.
As before, the adjusting ring 43 is provided with recesses 44, whereby in the positions of the ring 43 according to the marks Vk, Q, L and U by corresponding restriction or non-restriction of the mobility of the button in the vertical direction, after the transverse line, the longitudinal line or is copied in circulation.
When approaching a sloping wall while copying after the line, as shown in FIGS. 18-20, the lateral deflection of the button is converted by one of the levers 67 into an upward movement of the transmission rod 48, which thereby controls the vertical control slide 64 (FIG. 10) and at the same time also influences the feedforward control as if the button had hit a vertical contour protrusion protruding into the line. The pressure roller 60 of the pilot control unit, which until then was approximately in the position according to FIG. 15, then moves into the position according to FIG. 19, the pilot control unit supporting and accelerating the upward movement of the button already initiated by the vertical control slide 64.
As soon as the button has risen above the wall, the transmission rod 48 is pressed downward by the spring 49, whereupon the pressure roller 60 returns to its previously assumed position or position corresponding to the model profile that was traversed.
Instead of one pilot control element, several can be used, which are offset by 900 in relation to one another, for example, and are alternately connected to the drive motor of the pilot control unit, the direction of rotation of the sensing device being reversed.
The reversing switch can also be designed in such a way that the motor switches on after the previous feed line connection has been switched off and before the line connection corresponding to the new direction of rotation is switched on. Drive pulse is issued in the direction of the new rest position so that the rotary head with the pilot control element leaves the rest position or neutral position and the pilot control is set in motion.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Automatic sensing device on a copying machine tool, with a button which is movable on all sides within a stop ring and which is pressed against the model and against the stop under the action of a radial pilot control force, the direction of the pilot control force and thus the feed direction being dependent on the contact tangent between the model and the button is determined automatically about the ring axis adjusting the pilot control unit, whose pilot control element tapping a gap between the button and the ring is held in a rotating head rotatably mounted about the ring axis, characterized in that the spring causing the pilot control force rests on the pilot control element itself ,
the pilot control element is designed to measure the slit width and itself to transmit the pilot control. : force on the button serves.
