A method of making bladed strips for turbines and the like. like
It is known to insert steam turbine blades into cuts in rings and then to attach the strips or rings to the turbine wheel. The purpose of the invention is. To find a method which enables the blades to be introduced more easily and more precisely into the strips or rings, and this is achieved by the fact that the strips with the blades inserted into the incisions are inserted into the groove of the die of a press corresponds in its cross section to the longitudinal section of the blades.
The part of the ring protruding over the groove is then pressed by a punch until the punch rests on the dies.
In the accompanying drawing, FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a blade as it could be used. Figure 2 shows the strip provided with grooves or incisions. Fig. 2a shows the strip with the blade inserted before application of the pressure, in which therefore parts of the ring still protrude over the blades. Fig. 8 shows the blades used in plan and elevation, after application of the pressure in the face. FIG. 4 shows a plan view and a vertical section of the press used for fastening the blades. Figures 5 and 6 show the blades attached to a drum or casing.
The blades have the shape shown in FIG. 1 and are inserted into the curved transverse grooves a of the metal groove strip b (FIG. 2). These notches in the groove strip are pin-cut in a known manner using an oscillating cutter or a conical cutter. which is advantageously thicker at the tooth tips than s at the tooth root in order to allow play. The grooves can also be produced in any other way. The width of the groove strip (Fig. 1-2 a) is greater than that of the blades.
The grooved strips with the blades are then placed in a grooved die d (FIG. 4). followed by pressing to sprain the metal. that the air spaces are filled in and that the shovel is held. The required

be transmitted. An important advantage of this manufacturing process is that the punches prevent the blades from changing their opposite position while they are being fastened in the groove strip.
After the blades have been fastened in the manner described, the blades, which are now provided with blades, are lifted out of the punch and inserted into dovetail grooves (Fig. ') Or any other shaped grooves on the drum or on the housing and by caulking the between the blades located material f of the S: "t'ife!) sc (Fig.;;) attached.
If necessary, a wedge-like acting ring g (Fig. '!) Can also be used along the groove
