Nussband

Nut band
The invention relates to a nut band, consisting of two angled band parts and a nut which connects them in an articulated manner and which is connected with its one end to the free end of one band part. This nut band is to be used primarily for wallpaper doors in which the individual parts of the nut band should not protrude from the plane of the door and the door frame.
Nut strips of this type have already become known in which the nut connects the ends of two adjacent legs of the angular strip parts. In the case of these tapes, parts of the same are flush with the outer surface of the door frame, which has the disadvantage that these parts become visible on the tightly fitting wallpaper and damage the wallpaper if the tape is replaced. In addition, in some of these constructions the doors have to be opened into the room, which creates disadvantages for the room design.
In order to remedy these shortcomings, the other end of the nut is hinged to the nut band in the area of the corner of the second band part according to the invention, the band parts in the closed position of the nut band with one of their legs resting back to back and thereby at least one Touch part of their surface.
This nut hinge is mounted with its one angle part on the inner edge of the door in such a way that the leg lying perpendicular to the surface of the door comes to rest in a recess of the door.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the nut hinge according to the invention in connection with a door and an associated door frame. 1 and 2 each show a plan view of the nut strip with the door open or closed, door and door frame each in section. and FIGS. 3 and 4 are each a view in the direction of arrows A and B.
The nut strip consists of two angle profiles 1 and 2 which are articulated to one another by a web 3. The profile 1 is placed on the inner edge 4 'of the door 4, encompassing the edge. A longitudinal recess 5 for receiving the leg 6 is provided along the edge in the end face of the door. The leg 6 seated in the recess 5 is fork-shaped and articulated with the two parts of its free ends to the web 3, encompassing its end. The leg 7 is fastened to the inside of the door 4 by means of screws 8. The outer surfaces of the two legs of the profile 7 run in a transverse rounding 9, 10, at the outer end of which a shoulder 11 is provided, the purpose of which will be described in more detail later.
The angle profile 2 has two legs 12, 13, of which one 12 is fastened to the door frame 15 or the like by means of screws 14 and the other 13 .. protrudes vertically from the surface of the same and has a substantially rectangular opening 16 which extends to extends to the apex edge of the profile and includes the second, articulated end of the web 3 in the area of this edge. The leg 13 is provided on the side facing the angle profile 1 with an inclined surface 17 extending from the outer delimiting edge of the opening 16, which cooperates with the shoulder 11 of the angle profile 1 when the door is closed.
As already mentioned at the beginning and can be seen from FIG. 2, due to the advantageous design of the nut band according to the invention, when the door 4 is closed, its outer surface closes. 18 with the outwardly directed broad side 19 of the door frame 15, so that the room wall comes to lie in one plane with the outer surfaces of the door frame 15 and door 4. In this case, all these surfaces can be provided with continuous wallpapering or painting, which simulates a uniform wall surface.

When the door is opened in the direction of arrow C, its stop surface 20 lifts through the web 3 from the door frame 15 so that the door can be brought into the open position shown in FIG. 1 with the door edge 21 on the door frame 15 sliding slightly.
When the door is closed, the rounding 9, 10 of the angle profile 1 partially serves to guide the same on the shoulder 22 of the profile 2 to the inner end position of the nut strip when the door is closed, in which the shoulder 11 of the profile 1 comes to lie behind the inclined surface 17 of the profile 2 .
Of course, the nut strip according to the invention can also be used for windows, furniture doors or the like.
