Steep Elevator The invention relates to a steep elevator, in particular for stable manure, with fork prongs that can be swung out in the upward direction and that can be swiveled into the conveyor chute through slots in the floor and that are under the action of tension springs that prevent the manure from sliding back.

the must. In addition, precautions must be taken to ensure that the bearings do not move on the axis. Therefore, adjusting rings or the like are required, which complicates the installation of the flaps. Since each flap is equipped with a bearing point, it must be ensured that all flaps execute the same pivoting movement.
For this reason, the flaps have been connected to one another via a transverse rod which, in the rest position of the flaps, rests on the bottom underside of the conveyor trough.
This arrangement is particularly disadvantageous when the elevator, as is usual, is in the open. Through the slots in the bottom of the conveyor trough, liquid in the manure and any rain always drips onto the crossbar, on which the humidity is also condensed. In the cold season, it is therefore unavoidable that the crossbar freezes to the bottom of the conveyor trough.
The invention is now based on the object of simplifying and improving the flap mounting.
According to the invention, the proposal is made to fasten the flaps to a shaft rotatably mounted on the bottom of the conveyor trough. In this way, both the flap bearings with the devices to prevent them from being displaced and the crossbar are no longer required. The flaps are thus attached to the shaft in a self-supporting manner. The large number of flap bearings required for wide conveyor troughs have been replaced by two shaft bearings. The risk of the shaft shifting can be eliminated in the simplest way, for example by means of the levers arranged on the shaft ends, described later.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a section of the steep elevator partially in section and Fig. 2 a cross section through the conveyor. U-rails 3 and 4, in which rotatably mounted rollers 5 are fastened, are arranged in a known manner on the side walls 1 and 2 of the high-rise conveyor. The upper legs of two further U-rails 6 and 7, which can be moved to and fro with the aid of a drive (not shown), rest on the rollers 5. Between the U-rails 6 and 7, shafts 8 are fixed at regular intervals, on which pipes 10 equipped with fork prongs 9 are rotatably mounted. Stops 11 ensure that the fork prongs 9 do not swing out when the U-rails 6 and 7 move forward.
Further shafts 13 are also arranged at regular intervals on the bottom 12 of the conveyor trough and are rotatably mounted in brackets 14 and 15. Several flaps 16 are mounted on these shafts

that protrude through slots 17 in the bottom 12 into the conveyor trough in such a way that a fork prong comes to rest between two flaps. At the ends of the shafts 13 a lever 18 is arranged, which is under the action of a tension spring 19 or a counterweight.
The steep elevator works as follows.
If the U-rails 6 and 7 are moved forward, the forks 9 rest against the stops 11 and push the manure upwards, which swings the flaps 16 downwards.
If the manure has passed the flaps, these are moved back into the conveyor trough by the force of the springs 19. Since there is a possibility that the manure clogs the slots, it is advisable to provide the front edge 20 of the flaps with a cutting edge.
During the subsequent backward movement of the rails 6 and 7, the manure lies against the edges 20 of the flaps 16 and is held here while the fork tines 9 swing out and move back over the manure.
