Fig. 3 ist eine Draufsicht nach Fig. 1. Fig. 4 ist eine Druntersicht nach Fig. l.

to bring about a more moderate distribution of the water and to prevent water from the pipe from reaching the sensitive soldering point before the levers holding the valve fall off and the sprong device is completely open.
Fig. 1 is a side view of the fire extinguishing device in the closed position with the valve and levers in their normal position. Fig. 2 is a similar view of the extinguishing device in the open state after the sensitive solder has melted and the valve and the holding lever have fallen off. FIG. 3 is a top view of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a bottom view of FIG. FIG. 5 is a vertical longitudinal section taken through the center of FIG. Figures 6, 7 and 8 are detailed views of the three retaining levers and Figure 9 is a perspective view to illustrate the particular shape of the slots or openings in the manifold.
The extinguishing device consists of a metal body jf which can be screwed into the water supply pipe (not shown) and which is provided with an opening 2, which is surrounded by a valve seat; two arms 5 are connected to dome part 1, which open the opening opposite end in a metal part 4. In the latter, a pin or bolt 5 is screwed, on which the water distributor 6 is attached and held in place by a nut 20: the lower end of the pin 5 is square or shaped in some other way to allow a wrench or the like to be able to record.
The upper end of the screw bolt carries a small metal ring 7 through

the other ends of the lever are matched but not connected to each other.
Around the opening of the valve seat 2, a split and bent metal ring 11 is placed, which forms a spring and a disc 12 is used as the valve, which is preferably made of tin or silver and rests on the seat as soon as it is split open
EMI1.4
Plate 13 made of Bloi or some other soft metal is provided, behind which a hard metal disc 14 is arranged, which contains a circular recess which is somewhat eccentric to the center of the disc and has to receive the upper ends of the interconnected levers 9 and 10 .
The fusible connection, which has to hold the ends of the mentioned levers together, consists of a short metal rotating piece 15 which is flanged at one end and at the other end a flanged eye 16 is soldered by means of a suitable sensitive solder. Before the latter happens, the metal pipe 15 is lifted through an opening in the middle (first) lift! S pushed through, whereby the flange of the clock 16 rests against the two-tone lever *) (Fig. 7), so that the two He-bol S and 9 are held together. These two interconnected in the manner described

to press firmly onto its seat.
The water distributor 6 formed from a disk with an obliquely bent flange is not toothed, but rather has peculiarly shaped cutouts, which can be seen most clearly in FIG. These cutouts have the largest diameter in the middle of the flange and are somewhat narrowed at their mouth, opposite which they end in short, radially directed slots starting from the edge of the disk, which allows a very even and effective distribution of the water.
It is advantageous to use four such cutouts, which will give a uniform and efficient distribution, but any other number can be used if it is found desirable.

Insert a sealing ring made of IIolz1 fiber material or the like; In practice, however, it has been found that the connection is sufficiently sensitive even without such insulating washers.
If a fire breaks out, the sensitive solder joint melts immediately after the temperature has reached the predetermined level and the three retaining levers 8, 9, 10 with the valve and the disks 12, 13, 14 on which the resilient ring 11 acts, fall immediately and allow an unobstructed outflow of the water coming from the opening 2, which immediately hits the distributor 6, by which it is deflected and distributed uniformly over the space, which the sprinkling
