Bearings for bridges etc. Like. Structures with a
Plastic support plate
In a special type of bearings for bridges and. The support structure rests with the underside of its metallic bearing plate on a plastic plate, for example made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which in turn lies on a metal plate of the foundation. The bearing formed from the top and bottom plate with a plastic plate in between allows longitudinal and transverse displacements due to a relatively small coefficient of friction between the plastic plate and the top plate.
In this camp, the plastic plate, which is usually about 4 mm thick, is placed about 2/3 of its thickness in a recess in the lower plate. This avoids excessive flow of the plastic at its edges due to the load.
According to the invention, in a warehouse for bridges u. Similar support structures with a sliding plate made of plastic between the upper and lower plate are proposed to place the plastic plate on the lower plate, which is flat on its upper side, and to roughen the lower plate in the area of the plastic layer. The roughening gives the plastic so much hold that excessive flow at its edges as a result of the bearing force is avoided. When using this measure, the plate can be made much thinner in its thickness, i. H. about only 1/3 of the previously usual thickness, since the insert in the base plate is no longer necessary. The warehouse becomes cheaper in terms of both material and manufacturing costs.
Expediently, according to a further feature of the invention, the surface roughened by sandblasting or by means of a similar and equivalent manufacturing method is made somewhat larger than the effective size of the plastic plate, so that even when the plastic flows slightly, it always finds a support.
An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing.
A plastic plate 3 made of PTFE is located between the top plate 1 and the base plate 2. In the area of the plastic plate 3, the top of the base plate 2 is roughened. To the left and right in the cross section shown, the roughened surface 4 extends beyond the base surface of the plate 3.
