  Selbstschneidende Schraube 
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine selbstschneidende Schraube und besteht darin, dass die Schraube an ihrem an das Gewinde anschliessenden Kopfteil einen an sich bekannten gezahnten Flansch aufweist, dessen Aussendurchmesser höchstens gleich jenem des äusseren Schraubengewindes ist.

Bei selbstschneidenden Schrauben mit Sechskantkopf kann dieses Drehmoment ohne weiteres mittels eines Schraubenschlüssels aufgebracht werden, jedoch sind in vielen Fällen Schrauben erforderlich, bei welchen ein Sechskantkopf aus technischen Gründen nicht vorgesehen sein kann. Wenn beispielsweise eine kopflose Stiftschraube als selbstschneidende Schraube eingesetzt werden soll, so be- stünde nur die Möglichkeit, auf den Stift eine Mutter aufzusetzen und die selbstschneidende Schraube unter Vermittlung dieser Mutter einzuschrauben.

   Da nun für das Einschrauben ein verhältnismässig gro- sser Kraftaufwand erforderlich ist, erfordert meist das Lösen   de,   Mutter einen Kraftaufwand bei der Ver- drehung in der entgegengesetzten Richtung und hiedurch wird die eingesetzte selbstschneidende Schraube wieder gelockert. Wenn beispielsweise eine selbstschneidende Schraube mit Innengewinde eingesetzt werden soll, welches als Muttergewinde für das Einsetzen einer gewöhnlichen Schraube dienen soll, so bestehen die gleichen Schwierigkeiten. 



   Durch die erfindungsgemässe Ausbildung der selbstschneidenden Schraube mit einem gezahnten Flansch wird nun die Möglichkeit für den Angriff eines Werkzeuges geschaffen, mittels welches die Schraube leicht eingesetzt werden kann, ohne dass beim Lösen des Werkzeuges eine Lockerung der Schraube erfolgt. Des weiteren wird dadurch noch einem zweiten, bei selbstschneidenden Schrauben auftretenden Übelstand Rechnung getragen. 



   Solche selbstschneidende Schrauben werden üblicherweise ohne Mutter verwendet, so dass sie nicht gegen Lösen gesichert sind. Der gezahnte Flansch bildet nun die Möglichkeit, unter Verwendung eines Sperringes die Schraube gegen Lösung zu sichern. 



   In der Zeichnung ist die Erfindung an Hand von Ausführungsbeispielen schematisch veranschaulicht. 



   Fig. l ist ein Längsschnitt durch   eineAusfuhrungsform   einer selbstschneidenden Schraube, welche mit Innengewinde versehen ist, Fig. 2 ist eine Seitenansicht einer andern Ausführungsform der Erfindung und Fig. 3 die zu Fig. 2 gehörige Stirnansicht. 



   In   Fig. 1   ist eine Ausführungsform dargestellt, bei der ein Innengewinde 13 vorgesehen ist. Der Flansch 17 ist gezahnt, so dass einVerriegelungsringdarüber gesteckt werden kann. Am Ende der Schraube sind zwei axiale Schlitze 14 vorgesehen. Durch diese Schlitze 14 wird die Spitze 15 der Schraube in zwei Segmente geteilt, welche dann zusammengedrückt werden. Im rechten Winkel zu den Schlitzen 14 sind Einschnitte 16 vorgesehen, durch welche die Schneidkanten der Schraube gebildet werden. Die Schraube wird in eine Bohrung eingeschraubt, die etwas länger ist als die Schraube selbst, so dass beim Einschrauben eines Schraubbolzens in das Innengewinde 13 dieser Schraubbolzen um ein oder zweiSchraubenwindungen aus der Spitze 15 herausragt. 



   Beim Einschrauben dieses Schraubbolzens in das Innengewinde 13 werden die beiden dasSchraubenende 15 bildenden Segmente auseinandergedrückt, wodurch wieder die Gewindegänge 2 des Aussengewindes der Schraube in die von den Schneidkanten geschnittenen Gewindegänge fest hineingepresst werden und dadurch die Schraube in der Bohrung zusätzlich verriegelt wird.

   Bei der in der Fig. 2 dargestellten Ausführungsform ist wieder ein gezahnter Flansch 17 vorgesehen, dessen Zähne in ihrem Verriegelungsring eingreifen können, wodurch dann die Schraube fest verriegelt und gegen ein unbeabsichtigtes Lösen gesichert ist. 



   Fig. 3 zeigt die Schraube nach Fig. 2 in Stirnansicht, aus welcher die Ausbildung von die Schneidkanten bildenden Einschnitten 18 ersichtlich ist. Der schneidende Gewindeteil besteht hiebei aus zwei Segmenten 20, welche miteinander durch Stege 19 verbunden sind.

   The inventive design of the self-tapping screw with a toothed flange now creates the possibility of attacking a tool by means of which the screw can be easily inserted without loosening the screw when the tool is loosened. Furthermore, a second disadvantage that occurs with self-tapping screws is taken into account.



   Such self-tapping screws are usually used without a nut, so that they are not secured against loosening. The toothed flange now makes it possible to secure the screw against loosening using a locking ring.

   Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through an embodiment of a self-tapping screw which is provided with an internal thread, Fig. 2 is a side view of another embodiment of the invention and Fig. 3 is the end view corresponding to fig.



   In Fig. 1, an embodiment is shown in which an internal thread 13 is provided. The flange 17 is serrated so that a locking ring can be slipped over it. Two axial slots 14 are provided at the end of the screw. Through these slots 14 the tip 15 of the screw is divided into two segments, which are then pressed together. At right angles to the slots 14, incisions 16 are provided through which the cutting edges of the screw are formed. The screw is screwed into a bore which is slightly longer than the screw itself, so that when a screw bolt is screwed into the internal thread 13, this screw bolt protrudes from the tip 15 by one or two screw turns.



   When this screw bolt is screwed into the internal thread 13, the two segments forming the screw end 15 are pressed apart, whereby the threads 2 of the external thread of the screw are firmly pressed into the threads cut by the cutting edges and the screw is additionally locked in the bore.

   In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a toothed flange 17 is again provided, the teeth of which can engage in its locking ring, whereby the screw is then firmly locked and secured against unintentional loosening.
