Through-ventilated pole-changing electric motor, especially for driving sugar centrifuges
The invention relates to a ventilated pole-changing electric motor, which consists of at least two sub-motors with different speeds, which are arranged on a common shaft, in particular for driving sugar centrifuges. At the low speeds of the multi-pole sub-motor, the cooling effect due to self-ventilation is low, while on the other hand the losses are relatively large.
The invention overcomes these difficulties. According to the invention, in addition to one or more external fans, an internal fan, preferably formed by the rotor hub of the low-speed sub-motor, is arranged by way of a cooling air flow branch flowing through the high-speed low-pole sub-motor.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 1-10 of the drawing. they show
EMI1.1
In Fig. 1, the rotors 2 and 3 of the two sub-motors 4 and 5 are arranged on a common shaft 1, the sub-motor 4 being designed as a high-speed motor with a low number of poles and the sub-motor 5 as a slow-running motor with a high number of poles. The rotor hub 6 of the low-speed sub-motor 5 acts as a fan. educated. The two sub-motors are pushed one into the other in the axial direction in such a way that the stator winding heads 8 of the sub-motor 4 protrude into the bore of the laminated rotor core 3 of the sub-motor 5. The fan blades 7 are cut out accordingly.
Despite different outer diameters of the stator core 9 of the sub-motor 5 and the stator core 10 of the sub-motor 4, the two stator housings 11 and 12 for the two sub-motors, which are directly assembled, have approximately the same outer diameter. An external fan unit 13 is installed in the free space between the wall of the stator housing 12 and the outer diameter of the stator core 10 of the sub-motor 4. In the area of the stator winding heads 8 of the sub-motor 4, guide plates 14 are arranged, and in the area of the stator winding heads 15 of the sub-motor 5, guide plates 140 are arranged. The upper end shield 16 has ventilation openings 17.
When operating with the single-pole partial motor 4, for example when skidding, losses occur primarily in the rotor of the high-speed partial motor 4. Due to the high speed, the internal fan 7 has its greatest effect. It is achieved in that the greater part of the cooling air flow conveyed by the external fan is branched off and flows through the rotor 2 of the high-speed sub-motor, while the stator 9 of the low-speed sub-motor 5 receives only a little air. By installing the baffles 14 and 140, this is necessary it is ensured that the cooling air flowing out of the rotor of the high-speed sub-motor 4 does not come into contact with the active parts of the low-speed sub-motor 5.
The partial cooling air flow flowing through the high-speed machine is designated by 18. When operating with the multi-pole sub-motor, for example when clearing and filling, the internal fan 7 has only a minor effect. The air conveyed by the external fan is for the most part passed directly as a partial cooling air flow 19 over the stator winding 15 of the low-speed sub-motor 5. A further partial cooling air flow 20 flows over the stator winding heads 8 of the high-speed motor part 4.
It is also possible to arrange several external fans for the same machine, which are then evenly distributed around the circumference of the stator housing.
The external fan 13 can also be designed as a suction fan, then the air flows: in the opposite direction

Set direction, as indicated in the drawing by dashed arrows.
In another embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, the slow-running sub-motor 23 is arranged between the high-speed sub-motor 24 and the external fan 25. The external air can be installed on the lower side of the motor according to FIG. 2 or on the upper side of the motor according to FIG. 3.
The design of the motor according to FIG. 4 essentially corresponds to that according to FIG. 1, only the two sub-motors 26 and 27 and thus also the external fan 28 are interchanged in their position.
The external fan can, as can be seen from FIGS. 5 - 10, be arranged on the upper end face of the motor, and the like. either eccentrically as in the case of the motors according to FIGS. 5 and 6 or inclined as in the case of the motor according to FIGS. 7 and 8 or concentric to the shaft as in the case of the motors according to FIGS. 9 and 10.
In these designs too, the high-speed sub-motor can be arranged above or below the slow-running sub-motor. In the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 2-8, several external fans can also be arranged.
The invention offers the following advantages: The individual cooling air paths in the engine are automatically always supplied with the amount of cooling air that is favorable for the particular operating case. Since the diameters of the active parts of the multi-pole sub-motor are large compared to the corresponding diameters of the low-pole sub-motor, the fan formed by the rotor hub of the multi-pole motor can have a comparatively large diameter and thus have a great effect when the motor rotates at a high speed. Since it has almost no fan effect during operation at low speed, the air conveyed by the external fan is almost completely available for cooling the low-speed motor that is now switched on.
If the rotor of the low-speed motor is dimensioned so that the stator winding heads of the high-speed sub-motor can protrude into the rotor bore of the low-speed motor, a considerable reduction in the overall axial length of the entire motor is achieved.
