Thin, flexible lithographic mirror image printing form
The invention relates to a thin, flexible lithographic printing form made of paper, metallized paper, metal or plastic with step-like elevations provided on two opposite edges and projecting over the printing form for attachment to a printing drum of a duplicator, the step-like elevations being arranged on both sides of the printing form , according to patent no. 220172, and the material of the elevations is used for riveting.
According to the invention, a hollow rivet shank is formed in a manner known per se from the material of the stepped elevation arranged on one side of the printing forme, the flanged end of which lies approximately in one plane with the stepped elevation arranged on the second side of the printing forme.
It has been shown in practice that the material reinforcement by means of adhesive bonding at the ends of the printing forme film did not meet higher demands and was also dependent on the accuracy of the bonding process. The riveting used according to the invention achieves a secure and firm connection between the stepped elevation and the printing forme film, which meets the highest requirements and security needs.
An example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing.
EMI1.1
Section A-B of Fig. 1 through a riveting point on an enlarged scale and Fig. 3 the completed riveting by forming the rivet head.
The printing form film 1 is provided with the stepped elevation 2 on both sides on an edge intended for clamping.
For secure attachment of these step-shaped elevations to the printing forme film 1, rivet points 3 are provided which, as can be seen from FIG. 2, arise from the material thickness of the elevation 2 by forming the rivet shaft 3a.
This rivet shaft 3a penetrates the printing forme film 1 and the other step elevation 2 and, after the rivet head 3b has been formed, causes the stepped elevations to be securely fastened to the printing forme film.
