<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Device to ensure the exact location of the
Riser box at looms
The subject of the present invention is an automatic device on looms, which has the purpose of securing the exact position of the shooting box in relation to the shooting track and eliminating all inaccuracies and also compensating for any play in the climbing box operating device.
Safety devices are already known in which the riser box is rigidly connected to a safety rod which has recesses corresponding to the individual riser box positions, into which a movable locking bolt can engage.
In a known construction of this type that comes closest to the invention, the aforementioned locking bolt is now controlled by the crankshaft of the loom that actuates the sley, so that the lock is released twice during each rotation of the loom and the riser box only during the period in which the Web shuttle leaves the shuttle box, is locked. This results in the disadvantage that both with a loom with one-sided change and with a loom with two-sided change, the riser box is not secured on one or both sides of the loom during the shooter flight.
The catching of the moving mass of the riser box found there at the same time as the safety bar by pressing the locking bolt on the bar by means of a spring is disadvantageous from the kinetic point of view, because the locking bar hits the aforementioned safety bar and the actual braking is actually undesirable Way done, u. by jamming the riser box on the guide surfaces.
These known safety devices therefore do not allow the use of high loom speeds.
The invention now has the task of eliminating these disadvantages. The main feature of the invention is based on this. that a fixedly mounted on the drawer, surrounding the locking bar and rotatable about this ring is provided, on which pivotable locking jaws are mounted, which are pressed against the locking bar by a spring and which enter the corresponding recesses in the locking bar when the riser box is in the correct position and when twisting of the ring are pushed out of the recesses and allow the axial displacement of the locking bar.
According to a further feature of the invention, the ring is advantageously provided with a projection and a pin to which a pressure pin is hinged, with a spring-loaded stop cooperating with the ring projection for turning the ring into the locking position and one of the riser box on the loom frame Control device actuated, can be brought into the path of the pressure pin stop for rotating the ring in the unlocked position are provided.
The use of such a ring with spring-loaded jaws has already become known in drive devices for riser boxes, but there the ring is not arranged on a safety bar and it also does not serve as a locking device, but as a slip clutch.
In the following description, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing depicting an exemplary embodiment. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
of the device, Fig. 2 is a schematic side view of the device and Fig. 3 is a plan view of the device in section along the line A-A 'in Figs. 1 and 2 in two working positions.
The riser box 1 is guided in the usual way in the body of the sley and is displaced in the vertical direction by a support rod 2 which is controlled by the not shown, known command mechanism of the shuttle change. The securing rod 3 is attached to the lower part of the riser, which has a circular cross-section and is provided with opposing recesses (transverse grooves) 4 at intervals corresponding to the individual layers of the riser, the shape of which can be seen in FIG. A fork-shaped holder 7, through which the securing rod 3 passes, is attached to the sley 26 with the aid of the holder 6.
The fork arms of this holder take between them a ring rotatable on the securing rod 3, on which two locking jaws 10 are rotatably mounted by means of the pins 9 and are provided with a rounded portion 11, the outline of which corresponds to the outline of the grooves 4. These locking jaws 10 are constantly pressed against the securing rod 3 by means of the annular spring 12. The ring 8 is further provided with a projection 13 and a pin 14, on the latter of which the pressure pin 15 is articulated, which passes through the opening 16 of the holder 7.
The two-arm lever 17 is freely rotatably mounted on the loom frame 5, the arm 18 of which is actuated by the known climbing box control device (not shown), while the second arm 19 is provided with a stop 20. A spring 21, which is anchored on the frame 5, constantly pulls the two-arm lever 18 in the counterclockwise direction, while the above-mentioned control device acts on this lever in the opposite direction and thereby guides the stop 20 into the path of the pressure pin 15. On the frame 5 there is further arranged a projection 22 which is provided with a pin 23 on which the two-arm lever 24, which is pressed clockwise by the spring 25 about the pin 23, is freely rotatable.
EMI2.1
with the stop 20 or not.
At the moment of the impulse for the change of shooter by means of the control device, the arm 19, which is rotatably mounted on the frame 5, swings into its working position, i. H. in a lower position. This setting brings the stop 20 into the path of the pressure pin 15, which is displaceable in the opening 16 of the holder 7 and is articulated on the rotatable ring 8 by means of the pin 14. When the sley moves into the rear dead position (direction S), the pressure pin 15 strikes against the stop 20 (FIG. 3), whereby the ring 8 is rotated counterclockwise around the securing rod 3. In the process, the locking jaws 10 are also rotated and come out of the beveled grooves 4 of the securing rod 3 against the action of the annular spring 12.
In this way, the release and displacement of the securing rod 3 and thereby also the riser box 1 into the selected position is made possible.
When the sley now returns to the rear dead position (direction S), the projection of the ring 8 pushes against the two-arm lever 24, which acts as a stop, causing the ring 8 to rotate clockwise around the safety rod 3 to its original starting position. As a result, the locking jaws 10 with their rounding 11 are exactly opposite the grooves 4 of the safety rod 3 and as soon as the riser box 1 comes into its new position, the locking jaws 10 jump into the corresponding grooves 4 and thus secure the exact position of the riser box in the level of the Schützenbahn.
With the further movement of the sley into the rear dead position (if there is no new impulse for another shuttle change) the pressure pin 15 runs under the stop 20, which is in the raised position so that there can be no displacement and thus the release of the riser box 1 is also canceled.
During the movement of the sley from the rear dead position to the front dead position (direction Sz), the projection 13 of the ring 8 slides under the two-arm lever (stop) 24, this lever rotating against the action of the spring 25 into the position shown in Fig. 3 is shown in dashed lines. But as soon as the ring projection 13 comes to stand behind the two-arm lever 24, it swings back into the initial position and causes, when the ring 8 is in the position shown in Fig. 3 with full lines, a rotation of the ring 8 into the dashed position.
