Heissleiter.
Fig. 1 zeigt die erfindungsgemässe periodische Auf-bzw.
Fig. 3a).

Heat conductor. LR combinations Since the capacitor is periodically open or closed due to the periodically changing switching state of the controllable shunt. is discharged, with its charge increasing much more slowly than with a single charge, the requirement for low capacitance values is also met for longer time delays. The voltage that occurs at the output of the RC element is related to a comparison voltage. One of the known flip-flops, which are not detailed here, should be used as a comparison circuit. The time delay can then be set by means of the resistor R of the RC element and additionally by changing the pulse duty factor of the pulse sequence which controls the periodic charging and discharging.
In order to achieve precisely defined conditions, the partial discharge takes place with an almost constant current.
With reference to the drawings, Fig. 1 - 4, so11 the. The idea of the invention will be explained in more detail. Fig. 1 shows the inventive periodic opening or. Discharge of the RC element with longer charging pulses, Fig. 2 the same process with shorter charging pulses, Fig. 3a. b shows a block diagram of the arrangement, FIG. 4 shows the circuit design.
The sequence of a process will first be explained using a block diagram (FIGS. 3a, b) or the circuit according to FIG. 4: a) Signal xe present (see FIG. 3a). The signal reaches the main RC element 1 and at the same time opens the shunt 3, which would make the pulse generator stage (astable multivibrator) 2, known per se, ineffective. The auxiliary RC circuit 4 only has the task of quickly discharging the main

each time the output pulse of the astable multivibrator. The emitter resistor RE is dimensioned in such a way that it guarantees an almost constant discharge current (current negative feedback). This creates the curve according to FIG. 1 or 2. The voltage across the capacitor thus increases in steps.
If the response value of the comparison element is reached, the relay trips. b) Signal xe = zero (Fig. 3b). If the signal disappears before the set time has elapsed, the main capacitor C1 is quickly discharged with the aid of the auxiliary RC element 4 and the controllable shunt 6. The discharge time constant of the auxiliary RC circuit is selected so that its output voltage modulates the transistor T (FIG. 4) acting as a controllable shunt 6 until the main capacitor is completely discharged.
The directional conductor acting as bridging element 5 now has the resistance value approximately oo. At the same time, however, the effect of the astable multivibrator 2 must be eliminated if the controllable shunt 6 is in the "on" state for the duration of the discharge of; should be. The device 3, which is formed by a transistor T, is used for this purpose. The transistor T is normally blocked by the partial signal voltage applied to its emitter resistor RE2. Only when there is no signal voltage is it output via the divider R'T1 / R'TJ, and the voltage supplied to the emitter of the controllable shunt 6 is almost zero.
The device can be operated by switching on the supply voltage. In this case, the signal is formed by the supply voltage or a part of it. With this type of actuation, the device for rapid discharge of the RC combination also comes into play.
If the device is actuated by the L signal of an upstream logic element, the

sistor T. is.
The time delay can be set on the one hand via the resistance of the main RC element and on the other via the pulse duty factor of the astable multivibrator. The periodic charging and partial discharging with constant current makes it possible to achieve long times with great accuracy even with relatively small capacitance values.
An exemplary embodiment is shown in FIG. As has already been proposed, the diode D has the task of preventing the auxiliary circuit from discharging via the input voltage divider. The diode D makes the bridging element 5 direction-dependent.
