Simply exposing it to the air after impregnation with the oxidizing dye means a considerable simplification of the dyeing process.
Of course, in addition to one or more oxidizing dyes of the above formula, other known dyes or shading agents can also be present in the preparations according to the invention, as well as any auxiliary agents that are usually used in dyeing, such as thickeners, wetting agents, agents that promote hair penetration, solvents , Reducing agents, oxidation catalysts, etc.
Example 1: White hairs are impregnated with an aqueous solution containing 3% 2, 4-dioxydiphenylamine chlorohydrate. After 20 minutes they are rinsed, squeezed out and impregnated with an aqueous ammonia solution containing 3% NH. The impregnated hair is exposed to air for 20 minutes, after which it is shampooed and rinsed. They have a light maroon color with a golden tinge.
In practice, the same color is achieved if the ammonia solution is replaced by a 1% aqueous sodium carbonate solution while the procedure is otherwise the same.
Even when replacing the chlorohydrate of dioxy-diphenylamine under the otherwise identical conditions specified in the first paragraph of this example by the same amount of the chlorohydrate of 2,4-dioxy-3'-methyldiphenylamine or 2,4-dioxy-4'-methyldiphenylamine analogous shades are obtained. If, however, always under otherwise identical conditions, the chlorohydrate of 2,4-dioxy-4'-methoxydiphenylamine, 2,4,4'-trioxydiphenylamine, 2,4,2t-trioxydiphenylamine or 1st cyclohexylamino-2, If 4-dioxybenzene is used, chestnut brown or dark ash blonde or reddish shimmering chestnut brown shades are obtained.
Example 2: White hair is immersed for 20 minutes in an aqueous solution that contains 1% 2,4-dihydroxymethylaminobenzene chlorohydrate and approximately 0.4% sodium carbonate (to achieve a pH of 6.5). The hair is then exposed to air for 20 minutes, then rinsed and

contains diphenylamine chlorohydrate and 1.2% sodium carbonate, the hair is dyed a gold-tinged chestnut brown. A similar color is obtained if the sodium carbonate is replaced by an aqueous ammonia solution containing 0.8% NH.
Very similar shades of color are achieved if the aforementioned chlorohydrate is replaced by an equal amount of 2,4-dioxy-4'-methoxydiphenylamine chlorohydrate.
If the hair, instead of dipping it in the solution, is impregnated with the same solution with the help of a brush and then exposed to the air for about 30 minutes, the result is similar, but slightly weaker color tones.

impregnated holding solution; after 30 minutes it is rinsed, shampooed and, after pressing, impregnated with a 5% diethylamine solution. After exposure to air for 10 minutes, they are dried at 400 ° without rinsing.
They are colored in a light reddish maroon.
EMI2.3
amine, 2,4-dioxy-4'-methoxydiphenylamine or 1 cyclohexylamino-2,4-dioxybenzene, you get a dark golden blonde or a chestnut brown tone with a mahogany shimmer or a dark ash blonde.
EMI2.4
4: White hair is impregnated with an aqueous 3% 2,4-dioxydiphenylamine chlorohydrate solution. After 20 minutes, it is rinsed, squeezed out and impregnated with an aqueous solution which contains 2 parts of sodium iodate and 2 parts of acetic acid per 100 parts. After a further 20 minutes, rinse and shampoo.
The hair is dyed ash blonde. Similar but somewhat weaker color shades are obtained when the sodium iodate solution is replaced by an aqueous solution containing 4 parts of potassium persulfate, 2 parts of acetic acid and 1.5 parts of anhydrous sodium acetate per 100 parts. The oxidation can also be carried out with the aid of a solution which contains 1.5 parts of sodium perborate and 2 parts of sodium carbonate per 100 parts.
If, as described above, sodium iodate is used, but instead of the solution of the dioxide

phenylamine chlorohydrates used a solution containing the same amount of the chlorohydrate of 2, 4-dioxy- -4'-methyldiphenylamine, 2, 4, 4 * -trioxydiphenylamine, 2, 4-dioxy-4'-lnethoxydiphenylamine, 2, 4, Contains 2'- 'trioxydiphenylamine or 1-cyclohexylamino-2,4-dioxybenzene, the following shades are obtained: ash blonde or chestnut brown with a violet tinge, light chestnut brown, chestnut brown with a yellow-greenish tinge and grayish chestnut brown.
The shades obtained remain essentially the same if the hair is not rinsed before it is soaked in the oxidizing solution.
Example 5: A rabbit fur stained with copper is immersed in an aqueous solution kept at 350 ° C. which contains 2 parts 2, 4, 4'-trioxydiphenylamine chlorohydrate per 1000 parts. After half an hour, 12 parts of 6% strength hydrogen peroxide are added. After another three hours, the fur is rinsed. It is colored red-brown.
If an iron-stained coat is colored in the same way, a purple-tinged brown color is obtained.
If 2,4-dioxydiphenylamine chlorohydrate is used instead of the aforementioned chlorohydrate, a gray shade is obtained on unstained fur, a brown-black shade on fur stained with copper, and a dark yellow-brown shade on fur stained with chrome.
When working under the same conditions as described in the first paragraph of this example, but with the addition of 10 parts of 2% ammonia immediately after the addition of the hydrogen peroxide, a similar but less reddish color is obtained.
