Fehlerstrom-Schutzschaltung
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Für kleinere Auslösestromstärken, etwa 0, 3 A, lassen

Residual current protection circuit
EMI1.1
nen the sum of the currents that flow to and from the consumer is different. If fault currents occur, especially if these currents suddenly occur in their full magnitude, it is necessary to de-energize the live mass parts as quickly as possible to protect people and animals.
There are already known electrical circuit breakers with a trigger having a magnetically deflectable tongue for monitoring electrical systems, which respond when fault currents occur due to any defects in the conductor insulation. The system is switched off in such a way that an oscillating tongue of the release acts on the latching of the circuit breaker. Since alternating current is used for control, this tongue swings back and forth and stores a considerable amount of work. What is essential here is that if a fault current suddenly occurs, the tongue first executes a few free oscillations before it actuates the release element.
Magnetic arrangements of this type without amplification by means of conventional amplifier arrangements have too little sensitivity and response speed, since the switching force increases or decreases approximately quadratically with the secondary current supplied by the converter, and both mass acceleration and high inductance of the excitation coil have a disadvantageous effect. Protection relays with z. B. electrodynamic release systems have become known, the moving parts of which can be moved from a central position, causing the triggering of a switch.
However, such arrangements have the disadvantage that the efficiency is relatively low.
According to the invention, the aforementioned disadvantages are eliminated in that the fault current taken from the differential converter is fed to an electrodynamic moving coil system. Such an electrodynamic moving coil system is understood to mean a system in which a current-carrying conductor as a triggering element executes a movement, in particular a moving coil system in the manner of a loudspeaker system.
Such an electrodynamic moving coil system according to the invention has a significantly greater response speed than known arrangements, since it can be constructed with a lower inductance and a smaller mass. For example, the known magnetic circuit arrangements require about 0.1 sec to switch off the system at the full level of the fault current. This corresponds to 5 periods at a mains frequency of 50 Hz. If a dynamic moving coil system according to the invention is used, then triggering times of less than 0.01 seconds can be achieved for AC circuits, which corresponds to a maximum of half a period. If the fault current has the correct sign in this case, it will respond after only half a period; if the sign is reversed, the tripping time increases to 0.02 sec, i.e. one period.
To always bring the circuit breaker to trip within half a period with full fault current, the dynamic moving coil system can z. B. can be connected to the residual current transformer via a full-wave rectifier, which means that the deflection can take place in the tripping direction at each half-wave, regardless of the phase position of the exciting residual current.
The main advantage of the arrangement according to the invention over the known is therefore there
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in that the relationship between current and deflecting force in the electrodynamic moving coil system is linear and the triggering force thus decreases significantly less with decreasing current than is the case with known designs. With the correct dimensioning of the gap field strength and number of turns and with special adaptation of the dynamic moving coil system in relation to the differential converter, the moving coil release system has a significantly better electromechanical effect.
EMI2.1
Embodiments.ferential converter delivered energy to the dynamic moving coil system without the interposition of amplifier elements such. B.
Transistors, thyratrons, etc. shutdown of the residual current circuit breaker even with very small residual currents, e.g. B. less than 0.3 A is achieved.
Apart from the high response speed, the object of the invention is distinguished by its simplicity in construction and its insensitivity to known circuit breaker arrangements with regard to disturbances that occur. The latter generally need to achieve lower tripping currents than z. B. 0, 3 A reinforcements between converter and trigger organ. n. Are z. If, for example, thyratrons are used for amplification, faults often occur as a result of failure to cope with the occurrence of large fault currents or through self-ignition during capacitive switching processes in the network. Very often, thermal stress also causes the circuit breaker to fail.
In the moving coil arrangement according to the invention, it is not critical with respect to the corresponding force effect at which point in the magnetic field the moving coil is located, as long as the coil remains in the homogeneous field. This fact is important in the case of circuit breakers, as these may require adjustment due to the sensitive trigger mechanisms. In contrast to known arrangements, the response sensitivity is therefore not influenced for such an adjustment.
The invention provides that the fault current taken from the differential converter is fed to a tripping coil of an electrodynamic moving coil system. A push rod is connected to the release coil body and acts on a release lock according to the movement of the release coil, so that the system is switched off. The release coil and the push rod connected to it are guided in the axial direction by a centering on the magnetic core of the moving coil system. This centering can be designed so that a guide is provided within the magnet itself, for. B. a cylindrical pin, which is an extension of the push rod and is firmly connected to the trip coil, can be guided in a hole in the magnet.
It is also possible to use the centering device known per se as it is, for. B. is used in speaker systems. By changing the moving mass and the suspension of the centering, the mechanical resonance of the electrodynamic moving coil system can be adjusted to the mains frequency.
In order to increase the sensitivity of the arrangement, the release coil or the push rod and thus the associated release element can also be given a mechanical prestress in the direction of the release force, which is, however, smaller than the release force itself.
The trip coil can be reset to the rest position automatically or by hand. In the former case, this is done, for example, with the aid of a restoring system with a stable initial position, the restoring force of which decreases with increasing deflection. An example of this type of fixation of the trip coil in the rest position is an armature made of magnetic material. B. a steel or iron ring, to be provided on the coil body made of insulating material. The magnetic leakage flux of the dynamic moving coil system attracts the latter and thus causes the trip coil to be in the rest position. At the same time, the anchor experiences the greatest attraction due to the leakage flux of the system. If the trip coil is deflected by a fault current, the attraction force on the ring decreases rapidly with distance.
The surface of the ring is coordinated in such a way that in the vicinity of the maximum stroke movement of the release coil of the moving coil system there is a slight force of attraction in relation to the deflecting force. In practice, a large release force is thus available in the area in which the release lock responds.
The reset of the trip coil can also be achieved in such a way that a mechanical snap element, as it is, for. B. is used in toggle or snap-action switches, and which can assume two stable positions, acts on the release coil body or the push rod. One of the two positions defines the starting position.
Finally, the release coil can be reset by means of a centering device known per se.
It should also be mentioned that with a supply of alternating current a deflection of the trip coil against the AusIöserrichtung, z. B. is prevented by a stop.
In order to make the arrangement suitable for different tripping currents, z. B. Before or
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Shunt resistors for setting appropriate tripping currents are placed in the circuit of the trip coil or adjustable short-circuit bars are provided in the magnetic circuit. The moving coil system can also be supplied with rectified fault current.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a circuit of the arrangement according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a further embodiment of the triggering arrangement, in particular the moving coil system according to FIGS. 1, 3, 4, 5 in various sketches different circuit arrangements in connection with the invention and FIG 6 a mechanical rectification via a lever system.
In Fig. L, the circuit breaker l with its phases RST and the neutral point conductor Mp in the course of the line. A fault current occurring in this line is fed via the differential converter 2 with the connections 12, 13, 14 to a trip coil 4, which dips into the gap of a magnet 3. If no fault current occurs in the system, there is no discrepancy between the currents flowing to the consumer 20 and flowing back from it. There is then no current in the winding of the differential converter 2. If, on the other hand, a fault current occurs, e.g. B. due to an insulation fault on the consumer 20, a current flows from this to the power source. In this case, there is a discrepancy between the currents flowing to and from the consumer.
This deviation results in the fault current, which is taken from differential converter 2 as a control variable. The push rod 5 connected to the trip coil 4 is connected to the trip lock 7 of the circuit breaker 1 via a lever arm 6. The push rod 5 is held in its position together with the trip coil 4 by a centering and restoring element 8 and can only be moved in the axial direction. P represents a test device with the help of which the function of the residual current circuit breaker can be checked at any time.
In Fig. 2, a similar arrangement is shown in which the middle leg of the magnet 3 a

her is led. On the release coil body of the release coil 4, a ring 11 is attached, which ensures the return to the rest position in place of the centering 8 from FIG.
3 shows how a rectifier is connected in front of a system according to FIG. 1 or FIG. 2 which ensures the correct polarity regardless of the phase position. To set the response limit, according to FIG. 4, a potentiometer 15 is connected in series with the trip coil 4 or a potentiometer 16 is connected in parallel with the trip coil. The potentiometers can be adjusted from the outside of the housing. It is thus possible to set a desired greater tripping current. Leave for lower tripping currents, around 0.3 A.
EMI3.2
Reliable fire protection is guaranteed for tripping currents of up to 0.3 A, since the currents generally only cause sparks or arcs, the energy of which is insufficient for a fire to develop.

An arrangement according to the invention is sketched in FIG. 6, in which a mechanical rectification is achieved by means of a lever system 17, 18, 19 in order to actuate the release lock.
