Messeinrichtung zum Bestimmen des Gütefaktors von
Schwingungskreisen
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Measuring device for determining the quality factor of
Oscillation circles
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The circuit diagram of an exemplary embodiment of the measuring device according to the invention is shown in FIG. A vibration generator (oscillator) 2 is frequency-modulated by a modulating generator 1, the vibration generator (oscillator) having previously been tuned to the vibration circuit 3 to be tested.
The oscillating circuit 4 with a known quality factor must also be tuned to this frequency. The frequency swing of the modulation is to be selected in such a way that the frequency of the modulated vibration generator (oscillator) changes approximately between the 3 dB points of the resonance curve to be tested. With the oscillator voltage on the. Depending on the variable frequency, the oscillating circuit 3 to be tested and the oscillating circuit 4 are excited via loose inductive couplings. The voltages of these oscillating circuits pass from rectifiers 5 and 6 via amplifiers 7 and 8 in phase opposition to the corresponding input of an addition stage 9, since one of the rectifiers 5 and 6 is connected to the oscillating circuit with its positive and the other with its negative side .
Due to the differential voltage occurring at the output of the addition stage 9, the electron beam of the cathode ray tube 10 is deflected in the vertical direction. The voltage for the horizontal deflection is supplied by the modulating generator 1. In this way, a curve corresponding to the difference between the two resonance curves is visible on the screen of the cathode ray tube 10. The quality factor of the oscillation circuit 4 must be changed until the curve appearing on the screen changes into a straight line, with the quality factor read then indicating the value sought. The differential voltage is also measured by a tube voltmeter 11.
By means of the amplifiers 7 and 8, the voltages to be compared can be increased accordingly, as a result of which the accuracy of the comparison is significantly increased. The difference between the voltages that are amplified to the same extent only becomes zero when the validity factors and resonance frequencies of the oscillation circuit to be tested and the oscillation circuit with a known quality factor are equivalent.
The measurement accuracy is practically not influenced by minor deviations in the rectifier characteristics. Measurement errors are also not caused by slight fluctuations in the output of the vibration generator (oscillator) during the measurement.
