Regler-bzw. Ladeschalter

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Controller or Charging switch
The present invention relates to a regulator or charging switch with a temperature-dependent variable magnetic shunt to bring about overcompensation, the magnetic shunt branching off directly from the pole plate of the control relay or switching relay and via a body made of a special ferromagnetic alloy (Fe - Ni alloy) with temperature-dependent permeability leads to a secondary pole, which carries the control contacts to be operated, and which influences the relay armature together with the pole plate, the temperature-dependent magnetic shunt being led out of the relay cap in the form of a temperature head, so that it is directly influenced by the ambient temperature stands. according to patent no. 196969 and / or the 1st
Additional patent no.201728.
According to the 1st additional patent, the body made of the special ferromagnetic alloy is arranged outside the relay cap and between upwardly curved iron conductor pieces continuing the legs of the pole plate and the secondary pole.
In the previously known designs, a temperature-dependent, magnetically variable iron-nickel alloy was used to achieve the straightest possible course of the voltage line U = f (t) between - 20 and + 300 C 1.), which at cold temperatures has a flatter course of the B / t has a C-line and a significantly steeper course near the Curie point, 2.) the shunted iron conductor piece, which magnetically influences the angle armature of the voltage regulator via an air gap, was provided with a constriction which is dimensioned so that within a temperature range , at which the regulated voltage should remain approximately constant, in the constriction there is magnetic saturation.
The aim of the present invention is to ensure a straight course of the voltage characteristic curve within a desired temperature range with absolute certainty.
According to the invention, a temperature-dependent variable magnetic member (iron-nickel alloy) is also provided in the main branch of the magnetic circuit.
The temperature-dependent element is advantageously arranged in the main branch of the magnetic circuit directly between the main pole and the armature.
The main pole is preferably designed as a pole plate, on which the temperature-dependent member is arranged at a distance from the central axis of the magnetic core in the direction of the axis of rotation of the armature.
Preferably, to reduce the air gap between the armature and the main pole at the end of one leg of the angle armature, the armature is reinforced in particular by arranging an iron plate.
For voltage regulators in motor vehicles in which the temperature-dependent magnetic member in the line of force path of the secondary pole protrudes essentially from the cap of the regulator and is thus exposed to the temperature surrounding the cap, the temperature-dependent magnetic member located in the main branch is expediently under the influence of the magnet coil of the controller generated Joule heat.
The temperature-dependent * 1st additional patent no. 201728 advantageously exists in the main branch of the magnetic circuit.

Magnetic member made of an iron-nickel alloy, which has a Curie point of about 600C and an induction temperature curve that is relatively straight and from about 400C to the Curie point is flat, while the temperature-dependent magnetic member in the circle of the opposite pole has a significantly ge - has a lower magnetic resistance than the first-mentioned material and has an induction temperature curve which is flatter in the range of lower temperatures than in the vicinity of the Curie point, which is around 1000C.
As a result, the magnetic flux in the main branch counteracts the shunt within a desired temperature range, whereby the two temperature-sensitive elements compensate each other.
Further details of the invention emerge from the drawing, in which exemplary embodiments are shown.
1 shows the induction temperature curve of two iron-nickel alloys, FIG. 2 shows an example of an electromagnetic voltage regulator and FIG. 3 shows the result of the dependence of the regulated alternator voltage on the temperature achieved with an arrangement according to the invention. 4 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a voltage regulator according to the invention.
1 shows the induction temperature curves of two iron-nickel alloys, curve a shows the straight course of an iron-nickel alloy with the Curie point at around 60 ° C., this curve being very flat from 400 ° C. to the Curie point. In the embodiment according to the invention, this material is used in the main branch of the magnetic circuit. Curve b shows the course of an iron-nickel alloy, in which the curve in the cold temperature range is significantly flatter than in the vicinity of the Curie point. In addition, as shown in FIG. 1, this iron-nickel alloy has a significantly lower magnetic resistance than the material according to curve a.
Fig. 2 shows schematically an electromagnetic voltage regulator, the electrical connection of this voltage regulator to a lighting system for motor vehicles with lead batteries and consumers is shown.
1 is a DC generator with its field winding 2 and the associated series resistor 3, which is periodically switched in front of the field 2 depending on the alternator speed by means of the contact pair 15 and 17 and controls the field excitation in a known manner as a Tyrill regulator so that the regulated alternator voltage is independent of the speed remains essentially constant over a large range. The pair of contacts 15 'and 16 short-circuit the field excitation in a known manner in high speed ranges. 5 represents the iron core of the electromagnetic relay with the voltage winding 6. On the magnet yoke 14 the angularly bent regulator armature 35 is movably arranged with the help of a leaf spring 12, the biasing force of the leaf spring 12 pressing the angle armature against the stop when the relay is de-energized.
The horizontal piece of the angle armature 35 is bent up at an angle of 450 at the end and forms the air gap Z with the iron conductor piece 40 of the magnetic shunt arranged above. The pole plate 9 attached to the controller core is bent up at a right angle and partially protrudes together with the temperature-dependent magnetically variable member 34 and with the iron conductor piece 40 out of the cap 32 of the voltage regulator, the rubber sleeve 31 representing an electrically non-conductive seal between the electrical shunt and the device cap 32. The temperature-sensitive member 36 made of an iron-nickel alloy is located on the pole plate 9 according to curve a in FIG. 1.
The remaining part of the circuit diagram in FIG. 2 corresponds to the usual switching design of a lighting system in motor vehicles, the charging switch being represented by the voltage winding 7, the current winding 7 ″ and the switch contact pair 10.
The mode of operation of the two compensation elements 34 (in the shunt) and 36 (in the main magnetic circuit) is shown in FIG. 3 as follows:
Suitable dimensioning of the two compensation elements 34 and 36, which counteract one another thermomagnetically, ensures that the regulated alternator voltage remains practically constant in the temperature range DF. In the temperature range FG, the thermomagnetic effect of the compensation element 34 outweighs that of the compensation element 36, which in the temperature range FG has already practically reached its Curie point. This has the consequence that in the temperature range FG the thermal effect of the compensation element 36 is omitted and the compensation element 34 alone has its full effect. In the temperature range FG, the control voltage decreases as the temperature rises according to curve C.
Another embodiment of an electromagnetic voltage regulator according to the invention is shown in FIG.
4. In this FIG. 4, the regulator armature 35 has no angular bend and the iron guide piece 40
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
is bent at right angles, so that the regulator armature 35 and the iron guide piece 40 form the horizontal air gap Z in the shunt circuit. In contrast to FIG. 2, the compensation element 36 is attached to the outermost end of the horizontal part of the pole plate 9. An iron plate 41 is welded to the end of the horizontal part of the regulator armature 35. Between the point of rotation R of the regulator armature indicated in the figure and the two opposite imaginary lines, which are each drawn through the center of the compensation member 36 and the iron plate 41, there are two lever lengths L and L of the regulator armature.
It is known that with compensated voltage regulators the compensation is usually done in such a way that either in the suspension spring 12 or in a preloading spring arranged separately on the regulator armature, a bi-metal plate is built in which, as the temperature increases, bends in the opposite direction to the preload The pretensioning force of the entire system is reduced and thus the flow of lines of force generated by the Joule heat is balanced.
In this way, the control voltage controlled at a pair of contacts is kept essentially constant, but it is not avoided that the controlled voltage at the
EMI3.1
Contact and the regulated voltage at the upper contact essentially drives the regulated voltage at the lower contact, i.e. when the machine is fully loaded. drops very sharply, which naturally results in a loss of performance in the lighting system.
The embodiment of the relay according to the invention according to FIG. 4 has the task of keeping both the voltage at the lower and the voltage at the upper contact in the temperature range DF according to FIG. 3, i.e. in the straight section of the regulated voltages as close as possible and at the same level.
At the beginning of the operating time as well as in the working range of cold temperatures, the iron core
5 exiting lines of force emerge from the core plate approximately at the level of the imaginary line S and flow through the air gap Y narrowed by the heat-sensitive member 36 into the regulator armature 35 and through this further into the vertical part of the yoke 14.
With the same length of the lever arm L, the size of the torque at the regulator armature depends on the size of the force line flow in the main branch. If the Joule heat causes a decrease in the flux of the lines of force as the temperature increases, the torque also decreases.
If, however, the heat-sensitive member 36 increasingly loses its magnetic conductivity as the temperature rises, the air gap Y at this point becomes larger and larger and reaches its greatest value near the Curie point of the heat-sensitive member 36. Since the lines of force seek the shortest path, the line of force transition between the coil core and the regulator armature will run at the level of the imaginary axis T, because at this point there is a constant narrowing of the air gap Y due to the iron plate 41. The reduction in the flux of the lines of force, i.e. the force P, caused by the Joule heat is compensated for by the lengthening of the lever arm L described in this way and the torque of the regulator armature is maintained unchanged.
As already mentioned, this has the consequence that the regulated voltages at the upper and lower contact remain close to one another over the entire temperature range FG.
