Magnetic release with a return spring, in particular for electrical installation switches
As is well known, the armature of magnetic releases is under the influence of a return spring. In order to be able to set the magnetic trigger to its triggering condition, means for setting the
Bias of this return spring can be provided on the magnetic release. In the case of the previously used return springs, usually designed as helical or leaf springs, for magnetic releases, however, their space requirements are disadvantageously noticeable with regard to favorable accommodation of the other switching elements in the switch housing.
The invention relates to a magnetic release with a return spring and aims to design the return spring and to arrange it on the release in such a way that it takes up only a relatively small amount of space in connection with simple adjustability of the spring force. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the return spring is designed as a hairpin spring bent at right angles, which presses with its free ends against a movable part cooperating with the armature and the other end of which is attached to the adjustment device of the pressed material lower part. The adjustment device can consist of a screw clamping device, between the clamping plates of which the hairpin spring is adjustably attached.
The return spring in the shape of a hairpin therefore makes it easy to adapt to the shape of the magnetic release. so that it only takes up an extremely small amount of space. They can also be produced from steel wire in a simple and economical manner.
In Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown.
The magnetic release intended for self-contained installation switches contains a winding 1. an armature 2, an iron frame 3 enclosing the winding 1, an iron core 4 and a striking plate 6 made of non-magnetic material and provided with a pin 5. The two ends 7, 8 of one leg 14 (FIG. 2) of a hairpin spring 9 bent at right angles press on the beater 6. The other leg 15 of the hairpin spring 9 is attached to the lower part 10 of the automatic switch between two plates 11, 12 of a screw clamping device.
By loosening the screw 13 of the screw clamping device, the hairpin spring 9 can be pushed back and forth in the arrow directions shown. After the desired setting has been achieved, by which both manufacturing fluctuations can be compensated and the various setting conditions can be taken into account, the screw 13 is tightened firmly.
When the magnetic release responds, the armature 2 is struck against the pin 5 of the striking plate 6, which moves it forward and initiates the triggering of the switch. In the process, the hairpin spring 9 is tensioned, so that after the triggering has taken place, the striking plate 6 again comes to rest against the front iron sheet of the iron frame 3.
