<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Device for the electrical removal of ceramic products
It is. a device for releasing ceramic products from two interacting deformation tools has already been proposed, in which after connecting the upper mold to the negative pole of a direct current source and detaching the upper mold, the lower mold with the negative pole of the
Direct current source is connected, the current flow through the molding being ensured by an electrode placed on it. This is advantageously done in the knife box for deburring the molding, in that the electrode comes to rest on the molding at the same time as the knife box is actuated.
If the electrode to be placed consists of one piece, it must be precisely adapted to the surface of the molding in order to achieve a tight fit. If a differently shaped molding is to be produced, a new electrode that is adapted to the differently shaped molding would have to be used. In order to get all the required pellet forms, e.g. B. bricks to do justice, a whole stock of electrodes would have to be available. That would require uneconomically fixed capital, which would lead to an increase in the price of products, for which there is mostly mass demand.
The invention is intended to avoid this disadvantage in that only one lay-up electrode needs to be present, which corresponds to the various pellets, e.g. B. brick shapes is adapted.
For this purpose, according to the invention, the electrode consists of several electrically interconnected partial electrodes, which are mounted displaceably against a spring. These can be arranged in a common plate which is advantageously firmly connected to the knife box of the press. To prevent the electrodes from sticking to the molding, they are made of graphite.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the new electrode is shown in Fig. 1 in a view in the cut knife box. Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale in longitudinal section the attachment of a partial electrode.
From Fig. 1 it can be seen how the contact electrode can be adapted to the respective shape of the molding 6a by dissolving into partial electrodes. The partial electrodes 11 are adjustably resiliently guided or mounted in the plate 12, as is shown more clearly in FIG. For each partial electrode 11, a sleeve 14 provided with an external thread is screwed into the plate 12 and fixed in its position with a screw nut 15. At the bottom of this sleeve 14 is a guide pin 16 which engages in a guide slot 17 of a further sleeve 18 slipped onto the sleeve 14. The sleeve 18 is pressed down by a spring 19. The partial electrode 11 is screwed into the sleeve 18. The spring tension can be adjusted with the aid of a screw nut 20.
Each partial electrode can be set individually so that good contact with the molding surface is ensured, the pressure of the spring 19 ensuring that contact really occurs in every case.
The sub-electrodes 11 are preferably distributed at regular intervals on the plate 12; For example, the lay-on electrode can be broken up into 100 partial electrodes 11. The material graphite sticks to the surface of ceramic materials, e.g. B. Sound, no.
In the preferred embodiment shown, the lay-on electrode is built into the knife box 13. The plate 12 is firmly connected to the frame of the knife box 13, u. zw. With the help of screws 21, which are electrically isolated from the plate 12 by insulating sleeves and washers 22.

The actual knife 23, which is intended to cut the edge of the molding 6a, is electrically isolated from the frame 13 by an insulation layer.
The direct voltage from the positive pole of the direct current source is fed to the lay-on electrode via the line 25, which is electrically connected to the plate 12 and electrically connects all the partial electrodes 11 to one another. The knife 23 itself is also supplied with a DC voltage, u. between the negative pole of a power source via a line 26. By applying a negative direct voltage to the knife, the ceramic mass is properly separated from the knife.
