Sound film machine with a device for magnetic sound recording and reproduction
The present invention relates to a sound film device with a device for magnetic sound recording and reproduction using a sound carrier arranged on the film and with a film guide plate in whose recesses the magnetic heads are arranged and a movable pressure plate for pressing the film against the film guide plate and the magnetic heads .
In previously known devices of this type, the magnetic heads are arranged rigidly in the recesses of the film guide plate. This is associated with the disadvantage that the magnetic heads have to be adjusted very precisely and readjusted as the parts of the magnetic heads which are in contact with the film gradually wear out. In the case of sound film devices of other types, it has also been proposed to arrange the magnetic heads in such a way that they rest flexibly on the film. However, the film is not drawn through between a guide plate and a pressure plate. In order to achieve the synchronism of the film required for perfect sound recording and reproduction, additional, relatively expensive means are therefore required in this case.
According to the invention, it is now proposed in the case of sound film devices of the type mentioned at the outset that the magnetic heads protruding through the recesses of the film guide plate are movably mounted in such a way that they rest resiliently on the film. A device designed according to the invention is distinguished from the known devices of this type by a very high level of operational reliability, which is ensured above all by the exact guidance of the film on the sound recording and playback device. In addition, the movable mounting of the magnetic heads the quality of the sound reproduction is increased and the mechanical stress on the sound carrier is reduced.
In particular, it is proposed that the magnetic heads be mounted pivotably on the carrier of the film guide plate. For example, the magnetic head for sound recording and reproduction can be arranged on a pivotable member on which the erase head is pivotably mounted. The film pressure roller, which is movably arranged with respect to the sound roller of the sound recording and reproducing device, can also be mounted on the support of the film pressure plate.
It is also proposed to arrange the magnetic heads and the film guide parts on a common plate that can be removed from the housing of the sound film device. A sleeve in which the axis of the clay roller and a SchwUí1grolle is rotatably mounted can also be attached to this plate. In a device designed according to the invention, the magnetic heads do not need to be readjusted with respect to the film path, even if they should be abraded somewhat as a result of prolonged use. The handling of the device is very easy even for the layperson.
Further details and advantages of the subject matter of the invention emerge from the following description of an embodiment of the invention. This embodiment is shown in the drawings, u. FIG. 1 shows a Schmanal film projector with a
EMI1.1
display containing playback device.
In the figures, a narrow film projector is shown, the housing 1 of which is detachably arranged on a housing-like base 2 containing a device for magnetic sound recording and playback. The film 4, which is pulled off the supply reel J and provided with a magnetic soundtrack, is released from the projector's image window between the lamp housing 5 and the lens carrier 6 in a loosened loop of the sound recording and re-recording.

input device of the sound base 2 supplied and wound after passing the film transport roller 7 on the take-up reel 8 of the projector.
In the trough-shaped recess 9 of the clay base 2 there is a plate 12 in front of a recess 10 in the housing wall 11 (FIG. 3). It is releasable with the housing wall 11, for. B. by means of screws, not shown, connected. The carrier 13 for the film guide plate 14 is attached to the plate 12. A pivot arm 16 is rotatably mounted on the axis 15 arranged on the carrier 13 and carries the magnetic head 17 used for sound recording and reproduction.
An arm 18, which carries the erasing head 20, is also mounted on the pivot arm 16 so as to be rotatable about the axis 19. The carrier 16 of the magnetic head 17 is under the action of the tension spring 16 ', which is only shown in FIG. 4 for reasons of clarity. Likewise, the carrier 18 of the magnetic head 20 is under the action of a spring, not shown. Under the action of these springs, the magnetic heads 17, 20 reach through the openings 21, 22 of the film guide plate 14 through.
On the film path behind the film guide plate 14, the sound roller 23 is arranged, which is connected via the axis 24 to the flywheel 25 arranged behind the housing wall 11. The clay roller axle 24 is rotatably mounted in the sleeve 26 which is fastened to the plate 12 and is preferably made in one piece with it. The magnetic heads 17, 20 with their carriers 16, 18 and the sound roll 23 are covered by a cap 27 detachably attached to the plate 12.
Below the film guide plate 14 is the adjustable film pressure plate 28, which is resiliently self-adjustable via the leaf spring 29 on the angular support 30. At the end parts of the carrier 30 there are support bolts 31, 32, of which the bolt 32 serves as the axis of rotation for the pressure roller 33. The support bolts 31, 32 protrude through the openings 34, 35 of the plate 12 and are inserted into the bearing bores 36, 37 of two pivot arms 38, 39 which are rotatable about axes 40, 41. The axes 40, 41 rest in bearing sleeves 42, 43 of the plate 12.
Two angle levers 44, 45 are used to control the pivot arms 38, 39, which are rotatably mounted on the pin 46 fastened on the plate 12 or on the axis 41. The angle levers 44, 45 have control lugs 47, 48, which interact with pins 49, 50 of the pivot arms 38, 39, and tension springs 51, 52, which are attached on the one hand to projections 53, 54 of the angle levers 44, 45 and on the other hand on the pins 49.50 of the pivot arms 38, 39 attack. The angle levers 44,45 are through

Films 4 on the plate 14 and on the sound roll '23 the springs 51, 52 tensioned.
If the film drive of the projector is now switched on, the film 4 is pulled through by the transport roller 7 of the projector between the film guide plate 14 and the pressure plate 28, which brake the film and therefore smooth out its course, and in doing so it is guided past the magnetic heads 17, 20. The film 4 takes the sound roller 23 with it and thereby sets the swing roller 24 in rotation. Due to its large mass, this also contributes to achieving the synchronism of the film 4 on the magnetic heads 17, 20, which is necessary for perfect sound recording and reproduction.
If the key 65 is depressed before or after switching off the projector drive, the locking of the key 58 is released by the transverse slide 46. This therefore returns to the starting position under the action of the compression spring 66 and thereby displaces the clutch lever 61 counter-clockwise. As a result, the angle levers 44, 45 are moved back into the starting position, the projections 47, 48 of these levers taking the pins 49, 50 of the pivot arms 38, 39 with them. The free ends of the same are therefore adjusted downwards, so that the pressure plate 28 and the pressure roller 33 are shifted downwards. As a result, the film 4 lying between the film guide plate 14 and the pressure plate 28 and between the sound roller 23 and the pressure roller 33 is released and can be removed from the sound recording and reproducing device.
Since the axes of rotation 40, 41, on which the carrier 30 for the film pressure plate 28 and for the pressure roller 33 is held via the pivot arms 38, 39 and springs 51, 52, are only a small distance apart, there is not only a parallel displacement of the carrier 30 , d. H. a shift lower right to the plane of the pressure plate 28, possible, but also a pivoting of the carrier 30 about the support bolt 31 or 32.
It is thereby achieved with relatively simple means that both the pressure plate 28 on the film guide plate 14 as. the pressure roller 33 also exactly rest against the clay roller 23. Since the pressure plate 28 is elastically, self-adjustable on the support 30 via the leaf spring 29, the pressure plate 28 also rests over its entire length on the film guide plate 28 or on the intermediate film 4 when the support 30 is opposite the plane of the Film guide plate 14 is pivoted.
The tension springs 51, 52 between the pivot arms 38, 39 and angle levers 44, 45 have the effect on the one hand that the pressure plate 28 and pressure roller 33 press the film 4 with sufficient pressure on the guide plate 14 and on the sound roller 23; on the other hand, the springs 51, 52 absorb differences in the adjustment paths of the swivel arms 38, 39 when the carrier 30 tilts with respect to the film guide plate 14.
Since the magnetic heads 17, 18 and the film guide parts 14, 28 and 23, 33 are arranged together on the plate 12 and thus form an assembly which can be easily removed from the housing 2, they can be assembled and adjusted before installation in the sound film device and if necessary can be exchanged quickly and easily.
Of course, the device for magnetic sound recording and playback, in particular the plate 12 with all parts arranged on it, can also be arranged directly on the housing 1 of the projector instead of on a base 2 detachably connected to the projector. In this case, the pushbuttons 58, 65, which are also to be attached to the housing 1 and which actuate the pressure plate 28 and the pressure roller 33, can also be used to switch the projector drive on and off. Likewise, the pushbuttons 58, 65 can also be used to switch parts of the electrical amplifier of the magnetic sound recording and reproducing device on and off.
The electrical amplifier can be arranged within the housing 2 of the sound base or, in the case of a structural combination of the device for sound recording and reproduction with the projector, in the projector housing 1. The carrier 18 of the erase head 20 can instead of 'on the carrier 16 of the recording and playback head 17 on another component of the device, for. B. on the carrier 13 of.
Film guide plate 14 can be pivoted.
The present invention can also be implemented on a cinema recording device instead of a motion picture projector.
