Field magnet coil for electrical machines.

and aims to provide a simple, compact and durable construction of such coils, the terminals for the supply lines protruding at the most accessible places on the coils.
According to the present invention, the coil is divided into two concentric parts connected in series, the two terminals for the supply lines starting from adjacent turns of the outer part.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 is a plan view of a folded magnet coil made of copper strips without insulation and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the coil without insulation, the few turns of which are spread apart in order to clearly show the structure of the coil.
The complete coil consists of two essentially concentric coil 11 sections 1 and 2, which are separated by a suitable insulating space. Each of the concentric sections consists of approximately half the total number of turns, of which those of section 1 are continuously connected in series, while section 2 consists of two either equal or unequal numbers of turns

one end 6 of section 1 is riveted and soldered or otherwise electrically connected to one outer side or surface of the coil and the other end 7 of section 1 is similarly to one end 8 of part 4 from section 2 to the other Side or face of the coil attached.
Sections 1 and 2 are twisted opposite to one another so that the connections can easily be made within the smallest possible space. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the terminals 9 and 10 are located on adjacent turns of the section 2 and are used to connect wires or cables. The current occurs, for example, at terminal 9,

finally from the end of S through part 4 of the section. 2 to terminal JC. Of course, the current could also be fed to the coil in such a way that it flows through it in the opposite direction.
It is clear that with such a coil the terminals can be attached to any two adjacent turns, which means that only very little space is required for the coil and leads and the leads are more accessible than before.
The invention is not restricted to the exact coil shape shown in the drawing or to such coils which are composed of sections with an equal number of turns. It can also be seen that, by appropriate selection, the leads can be attached to any adjacent turns of the sections and that the leads from which the coil sections consist; another
