EMI1.1
The invention relates to a dry powder fire extinguishing system with a storage container for the extinguishing powder that can be pressurized by a pressurized gas source and a discharge line that emanates from the storage container and is influenced by a shut-off valve controlled as a function of the pressure in the storage container.
According to the invention, in a fire extinguishing system of the aforementioned type, the shut-off valve is controlled by means of a control cylinder which is connected to the pressure in this storage container via the exhaust pipe of an overpressure valve of the storage container provided with an overflow valve. The maximum pressure that builds up in the storage container is expediently determined in addition to the pressure relief valve by a control valve connected to the feed line.
With this design, when mechanically acting control means are used, the automatically acting shut-off valve, in contrast to known systems in which this is probably also opened at a certain pressure in the reservoir, but due to its design as a diaphragm valve, generally only releases the Will allow flow cross-section, now opens suddenly when the required delivery pressure is built up in the reservoir. The same delivery pressure is maintained throughout the operation of the system.
The new training is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. 1 shows a schematic overall view of a system and FIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the overflow valve in axial section.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the storage container 6 for the dry powder is connected to a discharge line 24 which is controlled by a shut-off valve 7. The pressurized gas is fed to the storage container 6 through a line 3, a regulating valve 5 in the line 3 controlled by the pressure in the container 6 controlling the inflow. The supply line 3 is connected to one or more of the shut-off valves 2
Compressed gas sources 1 connected, wherein in the
Line 3, a pressure reducing valve 4 is switched on.
When the shut-off valves 2 open, the pressurized gas flows from the storage container 1 through the line 3, the pressure being regulated by the valve 4, into the storage container 6 and building up a certain pressure therein, the maximum value of which is determined by the control valve 5 - is true. The maximum pressure in the storage container 6 is also monitored by an overpressure valve 8 connected to an overflow valve
10 is connected.
According to FIG. 1, this overflow valve 10 consists of a cylinder with a cylinder guided therein
Piston 11 which is loaded by a spring 12.
As a result of the overpressure released by the overpressure valve 8, a pressure is built up in the feed line 9 to the overflow valve 10, by means of which the piston 11 is raised against the action of the spring 12 Control cylinder 14 leads, the piston 15 of which controls the outlet valve 7.
Through this design it is achieved that the dispensing valve is opened suddenly as soon as the required delivery pressure has built up in the storage container 6.
In the modification according to FIG. 2, the overflow valve 10 consists of a valve body
16 with a feed line opening into an annular channel 17. The annular channel 17 is through a
Membrane 18 completed over a
Plate 19 is loaded by a spring 20. The
The tension of the spring 20 can be regulated by an actuator 21. The surface that receives the annular channel 17 and is closed off by the membrane 18 is connected to the control line 13 via a bore 22, 23. It thus has the same effect as that
Valve according to FIG. 1.
