Man kann den Schülern die scheinbare Sonnenbahn auch für solche Plätze erklären, wo die Mitternachtssonne über dem Horizont fällt.
Mit Hilfe der in der Mitte aufzustellenden Figur lässt sich die Lage des Beobachters, Riclitl1ngen sowie der von der Figur für verschiedene Sonnenlagen geworfene Schatten leicht erklären.
