Filling furnace.
The accompanying drawing illustrates a filling furnace set up according to the present invention.
EMI1.1
can also be attached to the rings of older design ovens, so that such ovens can be modified at low cost. In the furnace shown, three Rippon rings are arranged and the new grate support 5 including flill neck 3 is attached to the middle ring 4. The grate 6 lies on the grate carrier 5. These grate carriers are expediently shaped in such a way that their lower part forms an inclined surface so that the
EMI1.2
rapid burnout of the carrier is prevented.
Instead of the rib rings, of course, those of a different design can also be used. z. B. smooth or wavy rings can be used.
The stove is now used in such a way that, in case of full heating capability
EMI1.3
Ring 7 places and heats. The oven then acts like an ordinary filling oven. However, if you want to reduce the heating capacity of the furnace, you remove the grate 6 from the rails 7 and relocate it to the rails 5, whereby the filling shaft of the furnace is significantly reduced and the operating staff is forced to fill in less fuel.
Of course, in this case the lower neck is expediently complete
EMI1.4
the inner opening of the same is blocked with a grate 8, as illustrated by dotted lines in the drawing. This grate can stay in place even if the heating shaft is reduced in size.
It should also be noted that when the middle grate is used, the one underneath it
EMI1.5
Instead, if necessary, arrange several rings suitable for holding the grate, so that the filling shaft of the furnace can be reduced to two thirds, half or a quarter.
