Österreichische PATENTSCHRIFT 17495.
LUDWIG KISSLING IN REMSCHEID (PREUSZEN).

Austrian PATENT LETTERING 17495.
LUDWIG KISSLING IN REMSCHEID (PREUSZEN).
Pipe cutter with automatic feed of the lower knife disc.
The subject of the present invention is a pipe cutter, which has an automatic feed device for the lower cutter disk, which is illustrated in the drawing in two different embodiments.
1 of the drawing shows the pipe cutter in a side view, FIG. 2 likewise in a front view, FIG. 3 shows the threaded nut with the ratchet ring in plan, FIG. 4 shows the tension spring between the nut and slide, FIGS. 5 and 6 illustrate the other embodiment in pages respectively. Front view. '
The slide a and the nut b connected to it move on the upper shaft c and the threaded part d of the pipe cutter rod in the case of both extension forms. The following description relates to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
The automatic advance of the slide as a result of the rotation of the nut is mediated by a lever e, which is mounted on the slide with two arms and is actuated by a Gowindegang f on the lower knife disk 9. A ring i, which carries the pawl k and has a stop l for the lever e, is pushed over the part h of the nut, which is designed as a ratchet wheel.
As a result of the rotary movement of the knife disc 9, the helix is moved by the pitch of the thread f in such a way that its lower part rotates the ring slightly by the pressure against the stop of the ring, whereby the spring-loaded pawl k, which is mounted in the ring, takes the nut with it .
EMI1.1
the ring snaps back and the pawl slides over the teeth. This return movement causes a spring ring m, which is mounted between the carriage and ring i and is appropriately attached to both parts mentioned. The pawl is designed to be disengaged so that the nut and slide can be moved by hand.
In order to also change the stroke of the lever e, if necessary, a stop M is arranged which is provided with several stop surfaces which are different from the pivot point and which can be adjusted as required and limit the backward movement of the lever. The further embodiment shown in Fig. 5 and G differs from the vorbeschriehenen only in the device of the parts causing the feed, while the mode of operation remains the same.
In place of the thread f connected to the lower knife disk, a double-press thumb o is provided, which actuates an angle lever q, the lower leg of which presses against the stop l of the ring i, by depressing a pin p supported in the slide. In this embodiment, too, the stop u which changes the stroke of the lever s by rotation is retained in the manner described above. Likewise, the spring ring m mounted between the slide and ring i exerts the same pressure on the moving parts as above.
