<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Device for drawing lines running at a certain angle to the drawing edge of a drawing board that can be moved in parallel
The present invention relates to a drawing device which, with the aid of a parallel sliding drawing plate, e.g. B. drawbar, roll ruler, roll triangle u. Like., the quick drawing of a certain angle to the drawing edge of this drawing board occupying lines. The drawing device according to the invention is based on the principle that an edge point of a plate describes a straight line in the same direction when it is moved in a certain direction. If the direction of movement of the plate z. B. perpendicular to the drawing edge, as is generally the case with tear bars, roll rulers, roll triangles and. Like. The case, the edge point describes a line perpendicular to the drawing edge of the plate.
The device according to the invention consists of a holding device which can be easily attached to a drawing pen and has an adhesive body which, when the drawing tip of the drawing pen rests on the drawing surface, is activated by a movement of the hand guiding this pen (e.g. by pushing, pulling, rotating or tilting the drawing pen ) can be placed or pressed against a surface of the drawing board or removed from this surface.
There are devices known in which an easily attachable and detachable guide member is provided on the holder of a pen, which slides next to the pen on the writing paper when writing or drawing and thereby supports the safe holding of the pen, especially for people with restless or shaky hands. In contrast, it is the
The invention relates to a holding device with an adhesive body which, together with a drawing aid that can be moved in parallel, enables lines to be drawn in a specific direction.
In the drawing, FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show the fundamentally possible structure of the device according to the invention, while the
Figures 4 and 5 illustrate exemplary embodiments of the device for a common pencil.
The basic structure of the device according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 consists in the fact that an adhesive body 4 of a holding device 2 attached to a pen 1 is activated by any hand or finger movement of the hand carrying the pen (e.g. pressing down a plunger 3, different inclination of the pen od. Like.) With a fixed position of the drawing tip 1 on the drawing pad 16 optionally to the z. B. is applied by means of the rollers 13 parallel displaceable plate 12 or inserted into it or is removable from this. The adhesive body 4 can attack any surface of the plate 12, for. B. on the top of the plate (Fig. 1) or on the pulling edge (Fig. 2 and 3) or on the underside of the plate.
In the scheme according to FIG. 2, the ram 3 together with the adhesive body 4 can be rotatably mounted instead of being raised and lowered so that the adhesive body comes to rest against the drawing edge of the drawing board 12 or can be removed from it by rotating the holding device.
The device according to FIG. 4 consists of a sleeve 2, which represents the holding device for an ordinary pencil. A spring leaf 5, which is curved concavely to the pencil in the rest position, is firmly connected to one end 6, the other end of which is mounted displaceably in the longitudinal direction of the pencil.
Towards the lower open end of the sleeve 2, its wall thickness or the strength of a sliding spring 10 fastened on the sleeve increases, whereby, in cooperation with a slot 9 and by moving a guide ring 8 towards the end of the sleeve 2, it is clamped to the pencil 1. The guide ring 8 has a lateral bore 7 through which the tubularly rolled-up free end of the spring 5 or a cylindrical or prismatic push rod 3 connected to it
Cross section is performed.
The guide ring 8 also has a groove for the sliding spring 10, through which it can be displaced non-rotatably on the sleeve 2, and also a recess 11 into which, when the ring is clamped and the spring 5 is in the rest position, an end of the rolled spring part or plunger 3 located adhesive body 4 is protected. The adhesive body 4, which has the task of moving the drawing pen 1 on the drawing edge of a

toothed surface or have soft rubber pads or small suction cups of various shapes, which are selected according to the type of material and the contact surface used for the drawing board. It is also a support at at least three, not in a straight line points with a high coefficient of friction (tips or suction cups) particularly advantageous, the z. B. can be improved by tilting tips against the possible directions of displacement.
This structure and other design features are based on the following ideas:
A pen is held by the fingers in such a way that the thumb on the side of the pulling edge presses in an approximately vertical direction against the longitudinal axis of the pencil. Of all the possible movements of a finger on the pencil, the one that is most beneficial will therefore be that occurs by pressing the thumb harder, since this means that no finger grip is necessary. Any one- or two-dimensionally curved elastic body corresponds to this direction of movement with a simple jointless reshaping of the Damez pressure into a movement directed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pencil.
B. od one or more spring leaves, rubber ball. The like. Which experiences an enlargement of its length extension by lateral compression from one, several or all directions with one-sided fixed storage and thereby pushes down a stick 1 3 guided on the pencil. By applying moderate pressure in the longitudinal direction of the pen, the adhesive body 4 of the plunger establishes a connection with the drawing plate and thereby holds the pencil tip at a point on the drawing edge.
The longitudinal change of the spring 5 should, however, also be so great that the plunger tip or the adhesive body 4, when the spring is fully depressed, is approximately at the same height as the pencil tip, but at least seen from the side, is lower than the contact point or the contact surface of the adhesive body on the Drawing board. If, therefore, the lateral pressure on the spring 5 is increased beyond the attachment of the adhesive body, this causes the pencil tip to lift off the paper, but the position of the line on the drawing edge in the directions of the drawing plane is not changed. This simple device makes it possible to draw any type of broken line.
In order not to obscure the pencil tip 1 on the drawing pad when the plunger is pressed down by this or the adhesive body 4, the adhesive body 4 should touch the drawing board 12 at a point a lateral distance a from the graduation 14 where the pencil tip is held becomes. As a result, the drawing tip 1 is precisely positioned at a specific edge point. For the same purpose, the plunger and, if appropriate, the adhesive body can also consist of a transparent material.
In order to utilize the advantages of a double-sided pencil lead, the device should be connected to the pencil in such a way that the plane e, in which the elastic body 5 is pushed through, is approximately parallel to the plane that passes through the ridge of the pencil tip 1 and the Longitudinal axis of the pencil is determined. When drawing along a drawing edge, the thumb and forefinger then rest laterally next to the pen 5, but when drawing across an edge on the pen, which automatically turns and adjusts the tip of the drawing.
It is also possible to make the sleeve 2 longer than required by the device and thereby use it as a pencil extension sleeve and as a pencil protector when the pencil tip is inserted. In order to avoid damaging the plunger 3 with the adhesive body 4 or getting caught on the fabric etc. when it is carried in the pocket, the guide ring 8 has a recess 11 into which the adhesive body 4 enters when the spring 5 is unloaded and the guide length 8 is in the clamped position comes to rest and is thus protected against all external circumstances. This is achieved by appropriate dimensioning of the spring 5, the plunger 3, the adhesive body 4 and the clamping position of the guide ring 8. It is possible, the spring, the plunger and the Haftköroer from one piece, for.
B. from a steel strip to shape and thereby further simplify the structure of the device. The same is basically also possible when using a rubber-like elastic body, the lower movable end of which z. B. is designed like a suction cup.
5 shows a further possible embodiment, a sleeve 2, which can be fixed and releasable by a clamping ring 17, is arranged around a pencil 1, on which a second sleeve 2 ', which is provided with one or more Hsftkörpeni 4, passes in the longitudinal direction any device is non-rotatable about the sleeve 2 in the longitudinal direction by a small distance x when the clamping ring 17 of the sleeve 2 is in the clamping position.
The axial displacement takes place in such a way that the adhesive body or bodies 4 hold the outer sleeve on the drawing device and the pencil 1 with the sleeve 2 attached to it can be lifted slightly in the longitudinal direction from the drawing paper in the held sleeve 3.
The sleeve 2 'forms a guide for the pencil, which is thus somewhat displaceable perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, but remains immovable in the plane of the drawing with respect to the drawing edge.
The displacement path x therefore enables the drawing of broken lines.
The adhesive surfaces of the adhesive body can be any surfaces of revolution that z. B. extend over its entire circumference, the optional attachment of the adhesive body to the drawing board z. B. is done by different inclination of the pen (Fig. 3). However, the adhesive body or bodies can also only extend over parts
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
the circumference of the sleeve 2, then the attachment of the adhesive body or bodies to the plate 12, for. B. by rotating the pen about its longitudinal axis, so that once a sliding and the other time sticking of the pen to the dragging edge is achieved. The adhesive surfaces can also be provided in one or more planes arranged around the sleeve 2 ′.
It can z. B. be arranged two levels parallel to the drawing edge plane and perpendicular to the ridge of a two-sided pointed mine to thereby determine the drawing position of the pencil.
If the clamping ring 17 is released by a slight shift against the pencil tip and the entire device is then shifted somewhat in this direction, the device also serves as a protective cap for the pencil tip.
