Österreichische PATENTSCHRIFT N 16454.
PAUL ETIENNE GABREAU IN PARIS.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
EMI2.1

EMI2.1
Electrodes a b and a1 b1 is brought into contact with or opposite to or in contact with the flame arcs being formed; this movement is repeated continuously and at the appropriate speed. When the melting has ended, the electric current is completely or partially cut off, the product obtained is further processed by the usual means, either in the melting furnace itself or by placing the melting crucible in a secondary clamp, which is surrounded by the exhaust gases of the Melting furnace, heated by an electrical resistance or in some other way.
In order to achieve uninterrupted melting, the crucible is given an opening so that the liquid or softened mass can flow into a collecting crucible from which it is removed for further processing; you can also let the melted mass run directly into ingots or other shapes.
