1000 destilliertes Wasser,
20 g Zinkoxyd aktiv, 40-60 Vulkazit Thiuram (Tetramethyl- thiuramdisulfid), 10 g wasserlösliches Netz-und Dispergier- mittel,
10 Tylose (Methylzellulose-Sorte),
10 Ammoniak conc.

Process for vulcanizing thin-walled rubber articles
The invention relates to a method for producing thin-walled objects, preferably immersed goods, such as suction cups, gloves and the like. Like., Made of rubber or rubber-like, vulcanizable plastics that do not contain any vulcanizing agents such as sulfur, activators and the like. Like. Or accelerators included.

It is already known to inflate the vulcanizing agents, consisting of a metal oxide, sulfur and an organic accelerator, in solid, liquid or gaseous form onto rubber bodies which do not contain vulcanizing agents and then to heat them to the vulcanization temperature.

It is also known, for the purpose of vulcanizing thin-walled objects made of rubber, to subsequently treat them with solutions of vulcanizing agents in benzene.

Another method is the vulcanization of rubber or rubber-like substances in the absence of sulfur,
 EMI1.1
lying invention in that the molded free of any vulcanizing agents
Rubber objects are treated alone in an aqueous, hot, colloidally distributed dispersion of vulcanizing agents and vulcanization accelerators or a dispersion of water-insoluble ultra-accelerators, with vulcanization being achieved at the same time.

According to the invention, perfect vulcanizates are obtained, for example, if one is dipped from vulcanizing agent-free
Rubber latex made article, such as one
Surgical glove, about 0-25 mm
Wall thickness, in a dispersion of 1000 g of distilled water,
20 g zinc oxide active,
20 zinc ethylphenyldithiocarbamate (Vulka- zit P extra N),
20 colloidal sulfur, 5 a water-soluble wetting and dispersing agent, e.g. B. Vultamol, Igepon or Nekal,
5 g casein, dissolved in ammonia, immersed for 45 minutes at 85 ° C.

The same results are obtained using a bath that is not free
Contains sulfur, approximately of the following composition:
1000 distilled water,
20 g zinc oxide active, 40-60 vulkazite thiuram (tetramethyl thiuram disulfide), 10 g water-soluble wetting and dispersing agent,
10 Tylose (type of methyl cellulose),
10 ammonia conc.

In this case, vulcanization takes place in 30 minutes at 1300 C.

To produce such dispersions, sulfur, the ultra-accelerator and the zinc oxide, or the ultra-accelerator and the zinc oxide alone, are made into a paste with a portion of the water containing the wetting and dispersing agent and the casein and merely causing paste consistency, and in a ball or colloid mill

homogenized and dispersed and finally diluted with the remaining water.
