Fig. 4 ist eine Seitenansicht.
Fig. 2) eine gleichförmige Drehung.

Device for computing devices.
In computing devices, it is often desirable to define lines of any position on the jacket of a cylindrical drum that result in straight lines when the jacket is developed into a plane, e.g. B. to determine the position of tangents on curves that are plotted on the shell, or to determine the position of a line that best corresponds to the course of a number of points that are plotted on the drum shell. The latter case is e.g. B. in a registration device, in which the drum is driven so that it experiences a rotation about its axis, and in which a marker pen is provided, which is used to mark points on the shell of the drum and opposite the drum by means of a slide is arranged adjustable in the direction of the drum axis.
According to the invention, the present object can be achieved in that a ruler is assigned to the drum, which ruler can be fitted to the casing and can be adjusted relative to the drum.
The ruler can e.g. B. be a thread or a wire. The means for rotating the ruler with respect to the drum are easiest when the ruler is a pliable leaf that can be developed in a plane and on which a line is drawn which results in a straight line after the leaf has been developed in the plane. To enable this line to be set in relation to the points or lines given on the drum shell, the leaf must be made of transparent material. As a ruler z. B. a combination of steel strips with wires in question.
In order to ensure that the ruler clings to the drum shell with any adjustment of the ruler relative to the drum, the ruler itself can either be designed to be resilient or connected to a tensioning device.
If it is a registration device of the type specified above, it is advisable to use a leaf of the type described above as a ruler, which is rotatably mounted on the slide carrying the marker pen about an axis that contains the tip of the marker pen through which line drawn on the paper goes through it and intersects the drum axis perpendicularly.
1 to 4 of the drawing illustrate, in one embodiment, a registration device corresponding to the invention for establishing the distances of a target from the location of the range finder, measured at different times. Fig. 1 is a perpendicular to the axis of the recording drum section through the device. FIGS. 2 and 3 are sections according to the cutting lines inscribed in FIG. Fig. 4 is a side view.
A cylindrical drum 3 is rotatably mounted on the two side walls 1 of a housing 2 by means of a shaft 4umihre axis X-X. The drum 3 is given a uniform rotation by a drive mechanism 4 '(cf. FIG. 2). The jacket 5 of the drum 3 is designed as a drawing surface. Means

Distances is numbered. On the slide 8, on the one hand, a bushing 12 is rotatably mounted about an axis Y-Y, which intersects the axis X-X perpendicularly, and, on the other hand, a shaft 13 about an axis parallel to the axis Y-Y. The shaft 13 is coupled to the sleeve 12 by means of a bevel gear pair 14, a shaft 15 and a bevel gear pair 16 so that when the sleeve 12 rotates, it experiences the same rotation in the same direction of rotation.
A grooved shaft 17, which is rotatably mounted on the two side walls 1 of the housing 2 and can be rotated by means of a crank 18, is used to drive the sleeve 12. A pointer 18 'of the crank 18 shows an angular division l'der

associated side wall 1 the respective position of the shaft J! ? relative to the housing 2, and thus the respective position of the sleeve 12 relative to the carriage 8. A bevel gear 19 is slidably mounted on the grooved shaft 17, which is in engagement with a bevel gear 20 rotatably mounted on the slide 8, a driver 21 attached to the slide 8 and engaging in the hub of the bevel gear 19 by means of a fork ensures that that the engagement is maintained in any position of the carriage 8 relative to the drum 3.
The bevel gear 20 contains spur gear teeth 22 which mesh with a spur gear 23 keyed to the shaft 15. A thin, flat, pliable ruler 25 made of celluloid is attached to the sleeve 12 by means of an angle 24 and is provided with a longitudinal line 26 such that the longitudinal line intersects the axis Y-Y. A spring 27 engaging the ruler 25 ensures that the ruler 25 clings to the drawing surface 5 of the drum 3.
The spring 27 is fastened to a pin 28 of a slide 29 which is guided on the slide carriage parallel to the axis X-X of the drum 3. The axis of the pin 28 is parallel to the axis YY and lies in a tangential plane parallel to the axis YY on the drawing surface 5. The pin 28 engages in the radial slot 30 of a lever 31 which is keyed to the shaft 13 so that the drawn zero position of the sleeve 12, in which the longitudinal line 26 of the ruler 25 lies in a plane perpendicular to the axis XX, the axis of the pin 28 lies in the same plane. In this zero position of the sleeve 12, the pointer 18 'at the graduation l' indicates the angular value zero.
So that the train of the spring 27 takes place in any position of the ruler 25 relative to the drum 3 as possible in the direction of the longitudinal line 26 of the ruler 25, the distance between the axis of the shaft 13 and that tangential plane is chosen so that it is equal to the sum of the distance of the Point of application of the spring 27 on the

Slide 8 is guided. By means of a spring 34, the marking pen 32 is pressed against an eccentric 35 which is keyed to a shaft 36 which is rotatably mounted on the side walls 1 of the housing 2 so that its axis is parallel to the axis X-X. The shaft 36 can be rotated by means of a crank 37.
The length of the marking pen 32 and the eccentricity of the eccentric 35 are dimensioned such that a single rapid rotation of the shaft 36 results in a single, brief contact between the marking pen 32 and the drawing surface 5 and thus marking a point P on the drawing surface 5.
To use the device, the drive unit 4 ′ in rotating the drum 3 is uniform

If necessary, if it is to be assumed that the last recorded point P is based on an incorrect distance measurement, the carriage 8 must also be used to adjust the ruler 25
