Pinching the entire bead is easily possible. It is precisely the clamping finger, which can be easily pressed, that encloses the bead in such a way that adjacent parts of the strap are also clamped in, and a secure attachment to the closure members is thereby achieved.
In the drawings which show an exemplary embodiment of the invention: FIG. 1 is a view of the concealed zip fastener, FIG. 2 is a section along the line 2-2 in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 is a view of one of the closing elements, FIG. 4 a pictorial view of one side of the hidden tear
EMI2.1
4, 6 show a diagrammatic view of one side of the concealed zipper with a different type of fastening of the fastener tape, and FIG. 7 shows a section along line 7-7 in FIG. 6.
The closing members 11 and 12 are fastened to the straps 13 and 14. The closing links are arranged alternately on the two carrying straps and have the usual protrusions or
Grooves are provided to allow a corresponding interlocking when the zipper is opened or closed by the slide 15.
Each locking member consists of a head part 16 and a clamping part with cooperating clamps 17 and 18, as shown in FIGS. 2, 4 and 6. Between the brackets, a slot 19 extends transversely to the closure member from the top surface 20 downward.

Projection 21 on one side and a corresponding groove 22 on the other side. The projections and grooves are arranged in such a way that when they interlock, for example the projection 21 of the closing element of row 12 with the groove 22 of row H, the closing parts connected in this way are held horizontally in series, as in FIG. 2 is shown.
As shown in FIGS. 2, 3, 4 and 6, the closing members are rounded and in particular the
EMI2.3
tape is inserted, has a substantially semicircular shape.
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the one embodiment of the fastener tape 14 has a

the clip 18 is pressed in the direction of the arrow into the position shown by dashed lines in FIG. 4 in order to hold the fastener tape together with the clip 17.
The ends 26 and 27 of the clamps 17 and 18 press against the parts 23 and 24 near the bead and thus form a firm hold for the bead and the fastener tape.
Before the fastener tape is brought into the sealing members, it is essentially flat with the exception of the bead and after the bead has been pressed into the slot 19 by the clips 17 and 18, the part 2.3 and 25 of the fastener tape is again flat on the surface 20, d. H. it is essentially in one plane. The part 25 for covering the head parts of the closure members is so wide that it extends almost to the end of the head part 76, so that when the two rows 11 and 12 of the closure members are brought into engagement, the ends of the fastener tape parts 25 abut one another, so that they cover the closing links and thus completely hide the metallic parts, as shown in the lower part of FIG.
The slide 75 has a flanged lower member 30 and a flat upper one

after decreasing from the edge 33 to the edge 34. The latter edge is arranged near the circumferential surface of the clamps 18 of the locking members so that the locking members can lock with one another. The upper plate 31 of the slide is flat and of the same width as the lower element and slides on the surfaces of the fastener tape parts 25 when the slide is operated by the handle 33 which sits on the upper plate.
Since any of the usual embodiments of the lower and upper plate of the slider connecting curve pieces can be used to the individual

is a small amount of play, so that when the slide is moved this plate smooths parts 23 and 25 more than presses them. This is important, especially with regard to the fastener tape part 25. Namely, the plate usually rests heavily on the fastener tape parts.
In the modified embodiment shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the fastener tape 14 is not incorporated in such a way that it has a bead only on one side, but rather it is shaped so that the bead

Clamp 18 pressed inwards in the direction shown in FIG. 4, so that the cord or the bead at 36 and 37 is surrounded by the adjoining parts of the fastener tape parts 23 and 25.
These fastener tape parts are pressed against the bead and the ends 26 and 27 of the clips 17 and 18 press against these fastener tape parts, as a result of which the fastener tape is firmly connected to the closure members. The parts 23 and 25 of the fastener tape lying outside the closing elements again form a surface and lie in one plane.
A stop member 45 limiting the slide movement is provided in a suitable manner in the zipper. It is clamped to the bead of the straps to limit the opening of the zipper.
As can be seen from the drawings, the fastener tape with its parts 23 and 25, which are used on the one hand to sew the zipper to an object and on the other hand to cover the head parts of the closing links, is of the same thickness, of the same material and also lies in one plane. The concealed zipper forms a flat surface without any protrusions beyond the closing links. The closing links are below the strap, so that only the strap indicates the closure.
PATENT CLAIMS:
