The device is connected to a detent segment attached to the handlebars or to the frame of the bicycle, by means of which the drive unit or the drive wheel can be fixed in various positions relative to the wheel.
If one uses a drive wheel with such an auxiliary drive, the diameter and thus also the tread size can be changed according to the distance between its axis and the axis of the driven bicycle, then one can change the translation into the power transmission and thus the speed of the vehicle continuously change.
The subject of the invention is now such a drive wheel. According to the invention, the same consists of two adjustable disks, the conical side surfaces facing each other have an equal number of radially extending grooves, two of which each radially opposite receive the ends of a flat connecting blade that accomplish the power transmission to the barrel surface.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, 11. gw. Fig. 1 shows a side view of the front part of a bicycle with the drive unit. Figs. 2 and 3

In FIG. 1, the drive unit, which consists of the single-cylinder motor 7 with the crankcase 2 and the drive wheel 4 enclosed in the capsule J, which is open at the bottom, is fastened to the fork 6 of the front wheel 7 by means of clamps 5. The drive unit k: 'nn can be pivoted about the pivot point 8. A linkage 9, which engages on the one hand on the drive unit and on the other hand on the short arm of the toggle lever 70, serves to sway. The toggle lever 70 is rotatably attached to the handlebar 11 and is connected to the detent 12 by means of a pawl. In the illustrated embodiment

Is the G enough drive? weight of the drive unit alone to generate the necessary friction between drive wheel 4 and front wheel 7.
If, on the other hand, the engine is to be started, which is done by driving the bicycle by the rider, the friction between the front wheel 7 and the drive wheel 4 is further increased by applying additional pressure by means of the linkage 9 by turning the toggle lever 10 about the B? drive position also pushes down and sets in a certain rest. The contact pressure of the drive unit on the front wheel 7 is
