Repeatedly flammable ignition rod.
In the known, repeatedly flammable ignition rods, the oxygen-emitting substances have either been distributed evenly in the fuel mass or separated from it as mines or layers at least partially surrounding the fuel mass. It has also been proposed to embed leads made of a phosphorus-containing ignition compound in a compound made of hexamethylenetetramine or metaldehyde or the like. In order to delay the burning rate, combustion-inhibiting substances such as silicates or non-combustible synthetic resins have been added and the ignition rods have also been coated with such substances in order to limit the entry of air to the face. In this way, the aim was to achieve a steady burning down or an automatic extinction after a certain burning time.
The present invention relates to such a repeatedly flammable igniter rod containing combustible and active substances, i.e. H. highly flammable substances, such as phosphorus and / or phosphorus compounds, and oxygen-releasing substances such as chlorates, nirates or super oxides, in which these known active substances with known combustion-inhibiting substances such. B. calcium plumbate, zinc oxide, mixed and from each other and / or from the z. B. of hexamethylenetetramine, metaldehyde, nitrocellulose and are isolated from the outside air so that they ignite the fuel when rubbing the ignition rod on any mechanically rough surface, but do not continue to burn without air supply.
The invention consists in that asbestos fibers are used as a coating for the ignition rod or to isolate the individual masses from one another, which fibers are glued on, for example by means of a resin.
When the ignition rod burns down, such separating layers made of asbestos are atomized and do not leave behind any solid residues that would interfere with the renewed rubbing and smoldering residues, such as those found in e.g. B. occur in the known insulation from tissue paper soaked with water glass.
