Fallensehloss.

Fallensehloss.
The invention relates to a latch lock for locking and opening doors, in particular to bathrooms, washrooms, toilets and similar rooms, which can be locked from the relevant room by simply turning the door handle upwards or backwards from the normal position by 900, this being the case Lock, however, in the event of danger for the person locked in the room as a result of an accident, fainting or the like. Can be unlocked from the outside by means of the second door handle. To avoid misuse of this advantage of simply unlocking the lock and opening the room from the outside, e.g.
B. in cubicles in public baths, the doors of which open into a common corridor u. The outer door handle can be removable and in the hands of a qualified person, e.g. B. the lifeguard, remain.
There are already known latch locks for doors in which the door is opened by means of the outer door handle and by turning the inner door handle upwards by 900, after entering the bathroom or the like, the outer door handle is blocked in such a way that entry in this room from the outside is impossible. However, this type of latch lock, which is known per se, is on the one hand entangled and on the other hand, in the event of danger, it does not allow the enclosed space to be penetrated from the outside.
Such a lock can also be damaged as a result of a break in the only existing nut due to a blow against the outside locked handle, so that the door can then neither be opened from the outside nor from the inside and that the lock then usually has to be cut out of the door leaf.
The drawing shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, u. between FIG. 1 in a side view after the front cover plate of the lock box has been removed, with both attached lever handles being shown; Fig. 2 shows a vertical section along the line II-11 in Fig. 1; FIG. 3 shows a cross section through part of the lock along the line ici-111 in FIG.
The lock according to FIG. 1 is designed as a recessed lock, with a latch bolt 2, which can be displaced to both sides, being mounted in its flat lock case 1 and by means of a spring 3 in the drawn-in, d. i. outwardly pushed position is held. The latch 2 is guided on the one hand in the associated cutout in the strike plate of the lock and on the other hand by means of the transverse pins 4 and 4 '. The transverse pin 4 engages in a longitudinal cutout 5 in the latch bolt, which cutout is provided at its inner end with a downwardly extending groove 5 ′. In the closed position of the latch bolt 2, this groove 5 'in the cutout 5 lies just below the transverse pin 4 firmly inserted in a side wall of the lock box 1. The spring 6 constantly presses the latch 2 downward.
At its rear end lying in the lock box, the latch merges into a frame-shaped extension 7, with the step 8 of which is guided on the pin 4 'by the wing 9 on the upper nut 10, on which the outer door handle 11 (or a) of the Lock is attached. In addition to the wing 9, the nut 10 also has a second wing 12, against which the spring 13 presses, whereby the depressed trigger handle is rotated back into its normal position after its release. A second nut 14, to which the inner lever handle 15 (or i) is attached, is mounted below the socket 10 and the latch 2. This nut 14 is provided with a wing 16 which cooperates with the cutout 17 on the lower edge of the trap 2.
Trap 2, you frame-

shaped extension 7, the wing 9 of the nut 10 and the wing 16 of the nut 14 are therefore in a common plane. The upper nut 10 is also provided with an arm 18 which is almost horizontal in the normal position and is mounted and can swing outside the plane of the aforementioned parts 2, 7, 9 and 16, but in a plane parallel to this. On the lower nut 14 is next to the wing 16 still a cam 19, u. between. Arranged in such a way that it lies in the plane of the latch bolt 2. The lower socket 14 is also provided on its rearward extension with a protrusion 20 which cooperates with the arm 18 on the upper socket 10 in the manner described below.
The lower follower 14 is pressed upwards from below by means of the spring 21 so that the trigger handle 15 automatically returns to the normal position shown after it has been released.
The setup described works as follows:
By depressing the outer handle 11 in the usual way in the sense of the arrow a, the latch 2 is pushed into the lock box by the pressure of the wing 9 against the frame 7 and the door can then be opened. As soon as it is released, the trigger handle 11 returns to the normal position shown. After entering the room in question, the door or the trap is locked and secured by lifting the inner lever handle 15 upwards by 900 in the direction of arrow b, with the trap 2 by means of the cam 19 on the nut 14 around the
The amount of eccentricity of this cam is raised. In this elevated position of the trap 2, the groove 5 'engages around the transverse pin 4, which penetrates into it when the trap is raised.
If someone now wants to open the door by pressing down the outer handle 11, then the wing 9 cannot engage the raised frame 7 or the tooth 8 of the latch 2. The trigger handle 11 can therefore be depressed without opening the door, so that a breakage of parts of the vision is ruled out when it is forcibly depressed. In addition, the pin 4 sits in the cutout 5 'of the latch bolt and fixes it.
However, if the person locked in the room cannot open the door from the inside as a result of an accident, and it is necessary to enter the room quickly to provide assistance, then it is sufficient to use the outside lever handle. 11 to raise 900 in the sense of the arrow c. During this lifting, the inner lever handle 15 is first rotated back into its normal position by means of the arm 18 by pressing against the protrusion 20. so that the trap returns to its normal position. This is where the outer lever handle becomes. 11 turned back into its normal starting position and further depressed in the direction of arrow a to open the now unlocked door.
The person locked in the room can of course open the door from the inside without such intervention from the outside by means of the lever handle 15, which is rotated back from its vertical locking position to its normal horizontal position, whereupon the door is opened by pressing the handle in the arrow direction cl .
In certain cases, depending on requirements, the two trigger handles can also be arranged the other way round, the handle 11 with the arm 18 being in the area to be locked and the second handle 15 serving as the outer trigger handle.
By means of a latch lock with two lever handles according to the invention, doors can also advantageously be secured against opening which lead to balconies, terraces or such rooms to which an unauthorized person can easily have access from the street, since simply turning one of the Lever handles reliably prevent the door from being unlocked from one side of the door.
The frame-shaped extension 7 of the latch bolt forms at the same time a support for the spring 6 and, in the end position of the retracted case 2, a stop on the rear vertical narrow wall of the lock box 1, whereby the transverse pin 4 in the cutout 5 in this end position of the case is violent Pressing the trigger is relieved.
