Key-operated electrical buttons or switches.
Buttons and switches are known which can only be operated with the use of a square or bit key. The invention relates to such a switching element, the design of which is intended to make unauthorized use more difficult or impossible.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved on the one hand by a stationary fitting piece located behind the insertion slot, the profile of which must be excluded according to the socket wrench, and on the other hand by the fact that the contact bridge of the switching element cooperating with the fixed contacts is tiltably arranged so that the one-sided introduction of a Replacement actuation device the contact bridge only touches one of the two fixed contact springs. Only a couple of forces, which are exerted by the two equally long switching prongs of the key, can cause a parallel displacement of the contact bridge and thus a touch of both contacts.
The above-mentioned fitting piece can have any desired cross-section, it can be circular or also eccentric, so that its profile opposite the insertion slot is changed by rotating it around its axis, so that the key corresponding to the original position is no longer suitable for operating the switch but has to be replaced by another one that is excluded according to the new profile.
Rotary switches are actuated by the fact that the key, which is cut out according to the fitting piece, engages with its end points in the teeth of a wheel, which, like the key points, are wedge-shaped so that intermediate positions are avoided.
In Fig. 1, A represents a circular fitting piece, which is designed here as a profiled screw head.
Only when the fitting piece and the recess of the key B are matched in width and height can the actuating pin C of the key guide the contact bridge D to the two fixed contacts without it tilting. The contact bridge D is pressed against the fitting piece A by a centrally arranged spring E. If one-sided pressure is now exerted with a wire or the like, the contact bridge D only touches one of the mating contacts. In order to prevent misuse by means of a wire or the like bent into the shape of a hairpin, ball pressure traps F are arranged on the side wall of the insertion slot, which can be overcome by a stiff key, but not by a light wire loop or the like.
FIG. 2 shows an embodiment as a pressure switch and FIG. 3 shows that as a rotary switch; G is the wheel with the conical teeth.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Button or switch with actuation by a socket wrench, characterized in that a fixed fitting piece (A) arranged behind the insertion slot only allows this correspondingly shaped key (B) to actuate the movable contact bridge (D) which cooperates with two fixed contacts is arranged oscillating and resilient in such a way that its actuation only leads to a complete contact closure or contact interruption when a pair of equal forces is applied (Fig. 1 and 2).
