Die Pendelachsen A bzw.

A'kann in jeder beliebigen Weise erfolgen.

Motor vehicle in which the bath axles are suspended pendulously on the vehicle frame independently of one another.
The invention relates to a motor vehicle in which the wheel axles are suspended pendulously on the vehicle frame independently of one another, and consists in the fact that the pendulum axles consisting of axle stub and axle hull three cams, u. between a Lagernoeke, a spring cam and a shock absorber cam, on which the suspension takes place.
Motor vehicles are known in which the wheel axles are suspended from the vehicle frame in a pendulous manner independently of one another. In these known constructions, the connecting elements between the axles and the carriage frame are crank arms, which under no circumstances can permanently withstand the heavy loads. Special cylinder springs are required and provided to cushion the impact. The pendulum axles are only suspended at two points. The lateral movement of the support lever and thus of the wheel is only inadequately prevented by a slot guide.
In contrast, in the design according to the invention, the axle bodies causing the suspension are solid and easily take on even the heaviest loads. The suspension takes place at three points. The shock absorption is done by the carriage springs connected to the spring cams, so that special cylinder springs or the like are unnecessary.
Lateral movements of the wheels are completely eliminated by the fork-shaped mounting of the pendulum axles on the chassis.

The pendulum axles A and A '(Fig. 1, 2 and 3) each consist of one piece and are subdivided into the axle stub e or e' and the axle body d or d ', which is advantageously turned out cylindrically to reduce its own weight and on which three cams a, b, c and a ', b', c 'are provided on the outside. The middle cams a and a 'are the bearing cams, which od with sliding, ball, roller. Like. Bearings can be equipped. The cams b and b 'located at the rear in the direction of the travel direction are the spring cams which are connected to the springs k by spring tabs. The front cams c and c 'are the shock absorber cams.
The swing axles A of the front wheels as well as the swing axles A 'of the rear wheels are on

or a 'each pendulum axis enclose the shaft bracket, which prevents lateral movements.
The shaft 1 or 1 'is fixed by an adjusting screw h.
The stub axles e of the front pendulum axles are massive and end in a thickening in which the steering arm bolts f sit. The latter are inclined backwards when the car is not loaded; as a result of the weight of the body, the load and obstacles when driving, they twist in a forward inclined direction. This position of the steering knuckle pin results from the suspension of the wheels according to the invention, which has the effect that a large part of all shocks is absorbed before it even reaches the chassis.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The stub axles e 'of the pendulum axles A' for the rear wheels consist of tubes through which the driving shaft s passes, which is inclined and extends to the wheel hubs, where it rests in a claw on crosshead cubes and has full freedom of movement.
The suspension of the pendulum axes A and A 'can take place in any desired manner. In the exemplary embodiment, semi-elliptical springs k are arranged, which are mounted in the center point K and enable very good shock compensation. The steering is very important because, due to the swinging of the stub axles with the wheels, a push rod from the steering housing to the steering arm cannot be provided. The push rod is therefore led to a rotatable joint part n (Fig. 2), which is mounted in the center of the shaft 1, which for this purpose is U-shaped so that the cranking device is not hindered by part n. The arm q with ball stud o, which is fixed to the side of this part n, is in connection with the push rod which leads to the steering housing. An arm p provided with a ball socket encompasses the part in a fork shape.
In conjunction with the ball stud r of the tie rod, it can move up and down. The tie rod (Fig. 2a) has ball sockets R at both ends for the ball studs on the steering arms, which are located in front of the pendulum axes A and above them, in order to get as close as possible to the axis of rotation of the pendulum bearing a and thereby the tie rod to the least possible movement issue, so that even large vibrations are canceled by the fork-shaped arm p and therefore no impact on the push rod or the steering housing.
Automatic front and rear wheel brakes are used as the brakes (e.g. oil pressure or vacuum brakes), but specially designed mechanical brakes are also provided for the rear wheels, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. The brake key IV of the inner shoe brake, which is rotatably mounted about an axis D perpendicular to the drum axis, presses the brake shoes against the brake drum T. A lever arm z is attached to the brake key w, at the free end of which the pull rod u (Fig. 3) is attached. Upon actuation of a hand lever provided within reach of the driver, the angle v is rotated via a linkage, thereby axially displacing the pull rod u, rotating the lever arm z and thus the brake key tU, thereby actuating the brake. The bike can play freely when it is braked.
